I logged into my bank account and I got my GST which was just under $100.00. This will help out a lot. My credit card is at $700.00. I thought I would scronging untill the end of the month. After tomorrow I wont be paid util the 2nd week of November. At least this extra money will help a little, as I still have my bills to pay.

sadly, we didn't qualify for GST this year because my hubby decided to add the money we were getting under the table. i know this is the right thing to do because who knows when you could get audited by the government (yes, the Canadian government does this too) so he figured it is better to be safe than sorry. in saying that however, the extra money would have been super handy, especially now that i am thinking about buying Christmas presents.

A lady I worked with did this with her other job, she didnt claim 10 years of working full time cash jobs. She got scr*wed over with the government, I dont claim small jobs such as petsitting, if I put it in my account it's small funds here and there so no red flags go off. But long term full time job I wouldnt be paid cash as your not covered by workmans comp. My seasonal boss has asked if I would do some runs which pay $600 cash, I was thinking about it actually, and using that money just on spending items, or car repairs.

I don't understand what a GST is. Is it like a stimulus bonus or something? I know some people get about $300 extra for living expenses. I wish we got something like that.

I take it that GST is like an income tax return or something? For us, we have to wait until February or March to get our tax money back, and it definitely can't get here soon enough.
With that said, I'm sure that it really is going to be something that is going to help you out since it is going to be such a long time before the next time that you are going to be paid.

I;m not sure how it works, I believe GST is given to those who make under a certain amount or being single. I have always received it even while working 4 jobs on the table, whereas neither of my parents get it because my Mother depends on my father, and my father makes too much to qualify. I dont think its income tax return as I owed $2,000 odd dollars which I paid this is something completely different. I've always received it a couple times a year since I;ve been working.

That is great Ricki! I'm glad you will have extra money until you get paid again. You have your credit card to get by on. You can pay that back when you start getting paid again.
