In Europe people think Southern Europe has some lovely beach destinations that are warm to hot in the summer season which runs from May to October. Mainland Spain, one of the Spanish Islands, Italy, Malta and Turkey are popular destinations. Greece has been a little less popular this summer.
I fancy visiting Ukraine and hope to go there next year. It has beaches on the Black Sea like Odessa and Yalta that I think would be superb to visit. I will be visiting city, town and village sights as well.
Which lovely beach destinations does your home continent have?
Where have you found a lovely beach?

None to beat the beaches of Goa - the main tourist attraction. There are several beaches each have their unique features. One never tires of visiting Goa. It is a laid back place and a place one can truly unwind.

I suppose you mean "Mumbai"? You have chosen well. You could organise a programme in consultation with so many online travel agents who will guide you through and through.

Hi,
I remember the song from "American Dream"
"I think Jamaica in the moonlight,
Sandy beaches, drinking rum every night..."
Then I looked around and viola!
It is only a few hundred meters away from my house, waiting there all along. I Should be bringing some rum there tonight even if there's no moonlight. Roast fish go along fine with it too. It's Friday night, you know.

I've been to a lot of beaches in the US. We love the water and sand so its a toss up between the beaches in Florida and California. I've never been to a beach in Texas but I've been to the Gulf of Mexico. I like the beaches in Hawaii the best because you can go year round and catch some great waves for surfing and boogie boarding. I'd like to visit other beaches around the world and feel the sand between my toes.

I flew into Honolulu in Hawaii. I went up to the north shore and I couldn't believe it when I saw a high and rough waves. I wasn't able to swim in such water and it was more suitable for surfers than swimmers. I loved seeing the white sand and green palm trees. Good luck visiting other beaches in the world.

Those are perfect tropical islands that all sound delightful. In 2004 I visited the Seychelles and found them stunningly beautiful. Madagascar and Mauritius are on my travel wish list for the future. I am glad that you enjoyed it in lovely Mauritius.

I am hoping to visit the Philippines in 2014. If so I wish to fly to Cebu instead of Manila. I know I will visit Bohol Island to see the Chocolate Hills. I am keen to visit Palawan Islands. For a couple of nights I might go to touristy Boracay Island.

I quite like the beach of Sidari in Corfu and find spains to be nice too, but, if I am honest my preferred beaches are all those of Asia or the Americas! I am a such a hater of the cold sea so prefer swimming in the warm waters! :)

WE have lovely beaches, but for my taste they are too cold for me and I just watch. My country, Chile, is a long and thin country, bathed on one side by the Pacific Ocean. I prefer the beaches in the north of the country, such as in Iquique or Arica. Still the best beaches in the world for me are at the Caribbean. The climate is perfect and so is water temperature.

Hello my dear friend Marguicha. Vina Del Mar looked a lovely beach and we went there in your autumn time. I so enjoyed that fantastic day out. Chile has a long beautiful coast line. I remember you visited Arica. Yes, you seem to adore the islands in the Caribbean Sea. I was so delighted for you when you visited St Maarten. I know what you mean about the climate in such a place being perfect.

Hi there. I am glad your home country has some world class beaches. I think it is wonderful many foreign tourists visit those lovely beaches.
Lately people living in Europe have been to beaches outside Europe but only a 4 to 7 hour flight like the Red Sea coast of Egypt, the Gambia in West Africa and Dubai in the middle east.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Its great to hear that Europe is filled with beach destinations and that makes it a fancied destination for many. It is indeed great to plan out your holidays to these holiday destinations as they are very natural places and u can find yourself very closer to the nature. I always find beach destinations fascinating and intimidating.
What say?

The coastline of Croatia is very pretty and many islands are a situated a short distance from the land. The next country down from there is called Montenegro and it has some lovely looking beaches. I wish I could visit Albania the next country down from that.

I love the beach! Haven't been to too many but my favorite beach would have to be in Destin Florida. Been to Malibu Beach in California which is nice but Florida beaches are still the best. Beaches in the Destin area have white sand and the ocean has an emerald color. It is known as the emerald beach!
