Hi mariaperalta,
Oh, yeah that is quite early, but you know here in India there are quite many festivals and october is a huge festival season so it is probably a good time for me as well, to buy me something for Christmas and new year. I so love the winters and the festive season, I have always had a great time with my family during Christmas and new year. It is one time of the year that I get to spend time with my family. Talking about this discussion right now, even I am feeling like going out and buying me some new clothes.

A shop that like to buy from had a special deal. It was buy three toys and only pay for two. They gave a 5 pound voucher if the person spent over 50 pounds or a 10 pound voucher if the person spent over 100 pounds. I was able to get toys for my daughter, two nephews, two nieces and two other children we know. I was also able to get a birthday present for my niece that has a birthday in November. I am planning to do more Christmas and birthday in December shopping in October and November. I will not buy anymore Christmas presents in December so I can keep my money for my car. My car needs lots spent on it in December you see like MOT, road tax and car insurance.

I think that it is good for people to start their Christmas shopping nice and early, and I have to tell you that I have already finished my shopping for the year. I always get a large payment in September as that is when we get our yearly bonus, and I always choose to start my shopping out of this bonus money because it is my only chance to be able to afford the things that I would very much like to buy for my family and friends. I might buy them a couple more things, but I don't think that I will be getting all that much more now.

My boyfriend told me to put up our Christmas tree already here in our house but I don't think it's the right time to do that-it's still very early to do that.
Anyways, with regards to Christmas shopping, I also think it's too early to do that. We don't have discounts yet at the mall...and I think that would probably be around December or a week before Christmas that there will be major discounts mostly with electronics. So, I would definitely wait for that the come.
And yeah, I am planning to put up our Christmas tree after Halloween...maybe that would be the best time to do it.
Happy Mylotting!

i generally start Christmas shopping the day after Christmas! Here in Canada, the day after Christmas is called Boxing Day and is a statutory holiday but the stores are open (they have only been doing this in the last several years). the stores are a crazy with people but you can get some amazing bargains!
i also find that during the whole month of January there can be some great sales and if you have money left over or got money for Christmas, this is where to spend it.
i often pick up stuff that is left over, like little stocking stuffers that are cheap and on sale for the following Christmas
by now usually, i have gotten quite a lot of shopping done but this year however, i am behind due to the lack of money.

I probably will not start my shopping until December, but I will start my craft projects next weekend (this weekend I am having a garage sale so I hope to make money to get all my supplies). I will be selling some crafts this weekend if I can get them done. I have a paper due first so I want to get it done before get my projects done.

Actually I also started some Christmas shopping too. I bought gifts for my godchildren. I'm doing some early because I don't want my money to be too drained when Christmas comes and so I start little by little now.
I also think that it is easier to shop now when not a lot of people are rushing on the malls. December makes the malls too crowded after all.

Hi :)
I actually have started to think about Christmas, not particularly to do with shopping, but just the festival in general. It is my favorite time of the year, the week of Christmas. I usually wait to do my shopping in November though, that's when the usual year-end and Christmas sales started.
