I am the opposite of my sister, is it my mistake?

Mom is rambling again on how she wish I act more like my sister, just because I refuse to wear a dress she bought for me. It just that she knew I hate bright color, so why did she bought it? I think it is not fair of her to force me into her own shape of a lady. She want me to dress up, go window shopping, spent on wardrobes. i'm sorry, but that is just not me. i can cook, i can clean, i can do most work a lady should do, but to wear a striking red dress? i'd rather be mistaken as a boy.

Its not your fault , when I was a child my grand mother use to try teaching me to cook because she think every woman should but I just hated cooking . I dont like doing any of those chores you mention and I cant really cook but I can follow recipe real well if I want to make something special .
I am very girly but not in the house chores department , so you see you can do those but you dont dress girly and I cant do those but I am girly . We are both feminine in different ways , we are all unique and should be treated as such .
Parents will be like that as long as you live with them .

You are similar to my sister. She hate entering the kitchen, except to eat But I don't think badly of her. It's Mom I'm having problem with. You are right when you said we are both feminine in different way, why my Mom can't see that? I wish she understand it like you.
