I went to your wedding

I went to a wedding last week and i had a wonderful time because i knew my etiquette as a guest. But after the wedding, i was mildly shocked to see some guests pulling out flowers from the floral arrangements on the tables and all around the reception area. Now, tell me, is it all right to "save" the flowers by taking them home or they should save their faces instead?

Those flowers will anyway be discarded and I see nothing wrong if guests help themselves with some. In fact I feel that it should be encouraged but the guests should do it in a decent way and not just grab them. It should be done after the 'show' is over and with full knowledge of the hosts. .
