Now I am a sophomore student. My main major is English and my second major is accoutancy.I don't know whether I need to take part in the postgraduate entrance exams or to find a job when I graduate from the college.I don't know which kind of job would suit me and I am so worried about it.Can you give me some suggestions and tell me what should I do to prepare for the future?

Well, if you can do both why not? But first, you need to determine what really interests you either English or Accountancy. You make your own MAP with the possible jobs you can end up with, with each course you have at the moment. Are you inclined with teaching for English or you wanted to work in a big companies like Banks, Real Estates and etc for the Accountancy, that really depends on you. I, myself a Bachelor's Degree holder major in Marketing and currently using my course for a living. At the same time, I am also taking up Bachelors of Law while working. Schooling/studying is a learning, yes, you need to have a primary course to finish, for a living but at the end of the day, you will still end up doing something new for yourself. Humans always seeks something and we should not stop from learning.

Just follow your passion, focus and everything wil - follow your passion, focus
I believe you must follow your passion. Though we have this crossroads sometimes. But we need to decide on what path we take. If you want to be an accountant, go for the accountancy, if you want otherwise, go for the English major, which will eventually help you get some nice jobs like being a teacher, English is so vital nowadays, especially now, in my country where those BPOs are a trend, and they are that promising and may remain a couple more years. By the way, I have a friend who finished accountancy with nursing units. She is doing great now. Follow what's in your heart. Focus in your studies. That will take you places. Good luck to you.

Did you choose your major? I guess you have to ask yourself about what you really like to do after your studies. It's you who can answer it. I guess you still have time to think about it. It's difficult to find a good job. I hope that you have the passion in your chosen career. Goodluck. Happy mylotting.

Hi helen. The fact that you have two major subjects, it is an edge over other applicants in the future. I would like to advice you to concentrate more on accountancy, if possible. Because with that, you could easily find job especially if you were able to pass the board exam. Of course you should give importance to your English as well. Good luck, study well and stop worrying. You wouldn't want that when you graduated you already look as if you are about to retire, right? So be happy always. MyLot can relive your stress, so keep participating!

Helen, you are the boss of your own destiny to think what are good and best for your future. We can not dictate to you to pursue such other interest, which really was not your dream. If you think you have to take part in the postgraduate examination, then bring it on so you can proceed to whatever you think are your priorities in life.If you also like to work, then apply in companies that was also in line of your accountancy profession,so that you could make it in practice what you have been thought from studying this subject.I hope you could be successful.Good luck!!!!

Study hard to finish and try your best to pass the exams. you don't need to worry about work once you passed the exams. I have a friend who passed the Engineering exam and before he knew it- companies are asking for his resume to work with them.

My goodness, you worry so much and even put that as part of your username... Stop stressing and just concentrate on your studies. You are on your second year, so don't you still have some time to decide? Do your best right now, and I'm sure along the way something will come up to help you decide what to do next. Personally, I think either going to postgraduate studies or working after graduate are both good choices. Why don't you just try both, take the exam and look for suitable job as well. I'm sure if you put your best efforts, you will find a way to decide for yourself what is ultimately best for your own future.
