i see its that time of year again

i see its that time of year again for the conkers to fall off the trees my childen love going to get conkers but i have no idea why cause you are not allowed to play conkers at school no more when you use a shoe lace to the conker and the other person trys to hit it with theirs that was my faverote game at one point

Most schools class it as a health and safety issue and that is the reason for them not allowing it. I feel that when I was at school things were more laid back than it is today about playing games, I think it is due to parents trying to sue school for neglect. I loved playing conkers and also loved to collect them at the farm where we lived.

i use to love playing conkers when i was a child putting the conkers on a shoe lace my children love collecting them as well i also put them around the house to stop the spiders coming in to the house

We used to play conkers when I was at school.... not sure if they are allowed ot now because of all this health and safety laws. I knew someone who made a hat out of conkers, it was a dj on the local radio, she was talking about it and people even started sending her orders for one!!

my children love collecting conkers but i dont think you can play conkers anymore which is a shame cause i use to love the game of conkers

I loved playing conkers with friends when I was a lot lot younger, in school, as well as out of school. Years ago it was a lot safer to play in the street and front gardens are there were loads of us playing against each other it was really great fun.
