Yesterday was a holiday here in our city as it was the Feast of the Lady of the Pilar, one of the catholic holidays the city celebrates.. and we had our hermosa festival too. Yesterday morning, i thought of making some dishes so i told my husband i will go out and go to the market and i brought my daughter along..the market we have is just a few blocks away which we only ride through a "sikad sikad" - a bicycle which was renovated to have a passenger seat at the side, it is widely used in our country.. anyways, all went well i was able to buy some things for the dish and since it was leisure day, i told my daughter we will go ride the sikad sikad since we are not in a hurry.. then on our way back, this jerk motor rider who drive past us very fast which sad to say startled our sikad sikad driver he lost control of our ride and it bumped in a passenger jeep, which also in turn startled the driver of the pickup truck at the back of us! I still believe in miracles and yesterday was it, we were sandwiched in between the two vehicles and we went out barely unscratched. Though the impact was mostly at my back side, my daughter was just startled and surprised too she did not have any aches whatsoever. I immediately stood up as because of the impact i was pushed forward the full blow was on my knees which is really hurting till now. but at that moment i still stood up, took my daughter and checked on her first.. and guess what? no one came to help us! but ignored all that, i took her and we went to the side walk to get a grip first. Every one was checking the vehicles, one guy from the Barangay Hall ( town hall) asked me to come over i guess to see if i want to complain or something, i told him no i wont bother and immediately looked for a vehicle to take us home.. i did not bother with their arrangements because it was just minor though i have aches it is something i could pay and cure.. plus i do not think it is the fault of anyone there but the fast motorcycle driver who well did not stop and no one could find him.. if they asked our driver of the sikad sikad i do not think he could pay too, i was more worried for them lol.. anyways i went home and surprised hubby about my story, he was just glad i am safe and our daughter is safe too.. though with lots of bruises.

Hi there ! It is a great relief to hear that you are safe despite such an accident. Actually, thise riding motor-cycles do not care much about slow moving vehicles or pedestrain and just scare them with their speed or zig zag driving. They must be taken to task. Hope next time it does not happen with you.

Hello jazel_juan, wow this was three days ago, i had no idea about it. some bikers out there are not meant to ride it because they lacked responsibility and that is something that caused a lot of accidents. people can easily sell bikes but they don't realize how much great the responsibility is on how to use them. you have gotta be consistent in terms of being responsible using a bike.

Glad to hear you're both ok. I myself had an accident and actually broke my arm. Our co-mylotter rberon made a post about it a couple of days ago. Like you I feel thankful that despite what happened and getting a serious injury, it wasn't any worse which it could easily have been.

The motorcyclists are almost the same all around and dont bother about the speed limits and traffic rules. Though I am happy that nothing severe happened here but would still suggest that you stay watchful over the next few days. Not to scare you, but sometimes, these accidents bring in pains after a while and we normally have forgotten the accidents by that time. So, if possible please consult a doctor too and take care. Not sure how the traffic rules and cops are at your place but you should have lodged one complaint.

That must have been really scary for you and for your daughter. i hope the bruises fade rapidly, along with any scary memories. That could have been even worse than it was. I wish the fast driver would get what he deserves.

I hate having to curse somebody or wishing him/her bad fate but sometimes it just cannot be helped, like in situations such as yours. I would have definitely cursed that motorcycle driver. Anyway, I do hope your daughter is really okay and not in any traumatic state.

i guess i got no time to curse but lol it is not in me to curse too.. i was even praying for them especially the driver in our sikad sikad.. i am just so glad my daughter is stronger, i thought she would be scared but she was not disturbed at all.. she was even asking me if i am alright.

Yeah miracles do happen, I know what it feels like to be on that situation. God is always good. The good thing is that nothing serious had happened. I would probably would have made a blotter at the Barangay Police though. ha ha ha. it doesn't mean I want to put in prison whoever is "responsible" but the gesture can make others more careful; but that's just me. At least you are safe and enjoyed the rest of your fiesta. Hey are there any leftovers? Have a great day Jazel

lol.. we did not celebrate much my friend, we just went out and ate at a restaurant for dinner.. i really thought i should have made a blotter but then again, i am fine, my daughter is fine too..so i that driver just got lucky or else he might see himself in a much much worse scenario.

Wow, that is scary! Good thing you and your daughter were not hurt. I feel bad for your driver though because he earns just a little and now he has to pay for the repairs although it was no fault of his own. I am not praying for that other wreckless driver to be in an accident, but just that he learns his lesson soon. He wasn't even concerned knowing that there's a little kid inside the "sikad" thing.
