I also like dogs. I love cats but I am allergic to them. I currently do not own a dog personally. My mother has a dog and thats good enough for me right now. He is a mix I think part havanese and part poodle. He is a lap dog and he also is under everyone feet. He thinks he's Al Capone but runs away from everything.

Hi, us too always have a dog at home but just recently this year we stopped having dogs since there is a child here at home who don't like dogs and my mom and dad are busy taking care of our baby cousin :( so we can't really take good care of the dog as of the moment :( But I really miss having one, whenever you get home, your dog always feels so happy and wags their tail so fast seems like they haven't seen us for how many years. I wish we could have a dog someday again.

That is so great! If only people would adopt more and they wouldn't be suffering in breeder/puppy mills and on the streets.
I have rescued 4 cats and 2 puppy mill dogs and they are my life, they are so funny and believe or not they are so thankful. I had a puppy just once and she was love but I see the difference on how rescued ones spends their lives trying to help and cheer you for saving their lives. Me too dear, I'll always have Dogs and Cats at home and hopefully one day Cows, Pigs and Chickens.

Youd be surprised at how much time a pet needs. Just like a kid.

I am a total animal lover, and currently have 2 cats that were rescued from a shelter. I would love to have a Dog, but my ex-husband doesn't like dogs, and so, until I move out, I will have to live without one.
I am moving out in January next year, to go back home to the UK, and once I'm settled and working, I plan on getting a Dog to keep me company.

Now I have a dog, but its because my brother wants one. All my life I have had cats, I like them too much. And a few years ago I had a ferret, they are very cute too :3

Does the dog get alone with the cat? I have a cat outside, and my dog would never let the cat inside the house.

We are cat people at home. We basically grew with cats at home so we are really more into cats than dogs, but I have nothing against dogs though. My girlfriend has cute dogs and I also like them a lot. In fact, I'm thinking of having one when I can afford to care for one.

Cats are ok, as long as they are outside. And yes dogs do take a few dollar to take care of the right way. Have a great day there.

Hi. I had also have dog and cat in my house since my childhood. I had many good feelings attached to each of them. I had 4 dogs and one cat was in my house till now. Today I have one dog. But when you had dog in house you will definitely have attachment for any animals in this world. You can understand how each of animal feels and you have soft heart for them. Cheers.

I like having pet too.We do have a cat in the house named Garfield that is really playful and lovable.I wanted to have a dog.We do have a pet puppy for just around two weeks but he was gone and concluded that it was stolen in our backyard.Actually it was my nephew's dog that;s why he felt sad when it was lost.

Here in Mexico people get dogs stolen from yards all the time. For that reason my tootsie is always inside. She goes to back door when she wants to go outside and pottie.

I love animals and have always had a dog, most of the time more than one dog. We have always had all types of animals around. I bottle feed a pig one time and his name was Arnold. We raised a baby deer on a bottle and when he was big enough we turned him over to a wildlife refuge. I hand raised five baby raccoons we found when their mom was killed. I raised two baby squirrels I found when we cut a tree down. Once I had 200 rabbits, about 400 chickens, ducks, 65 dogs, 2 goats I was bottle feeding for someone, we raised two bobcats(they don't make good pets)and we had four horses. Now I only have 2 dogs(two pitbulls named Hoss and Adam) and a cat that dragged himself up to my house last year. She was very sick and couldn't walk. I got her on antibiotics, wormed her out and put her on some good food. She'd been hurt, but nobody knows how, but she's doing really well now. She follows me every where I go. Animals are good therapy and good company. (Oh, I also have a Canada goose named Piper.)
