People have different addictions. Gambling is one of those. I think that when a person gambles, in a casino or in any local gambling house, it does not only affect the financial status of the person doing it, but it also cause health problems, since those gamblers do not attend to their personal necessities just to focus on his gambling. What do you think can be done so that a person who seems to be addicted to gambling should be helped?

I think it's very difficult to cure person who addicted with gambling coz there were so many ways to help them but the result is zero. Like in Islam dogma that explained gamble is the devil's do, but to many moeslem are still try to gamble. They think a gamble is the fast way to get rich and get a lot of money, but they're wrong. I think that opinion must be deleted

Gambling is a difficult thing to break especially when in that mind set of "get rich quick". They won't have much else on their mind if they 've already come to that cnclusion.

Gambling is like any other addiction and there are reasons for it. Any program that helps with addictions can help. Counseling to understand why a person does this is also good. Its hard to just stop cold turkey so help and support is important to get this taken care of.

Gambling is one of the more dangerous habits because it is possible to gamble even with your own life. Individuals go so far as to gamble their homes or their cars their last possesions just for another "shot".
I know an individual who makes up reasons to borrow money then goes straight to the casino and into the machines it usually disappears. Now he's using even someone elses money for his addiction whether those individuals realize this or not.
The "healing" of any addiction usually starts with the person who has it. Unless that person wants to change, it won't happen. They may go to classes or else where but real change won't occur except when they are willing to allow it.

There are many reason's why a person gambles.
The first and most reasons why we are attracted to gambling is money and the expectation to win. Then, the euphoria of winning, the intense adrenalin rush of excitement and overwhelming joy takes place.
Most players are addicted to gambling not only because they just want to win money but they are more often for the joy ride or adrenalin rush feeling of winning.
Most gamblers will deny they have gambling problems and probably will never accept it. Anyone in denial cannot be help and the first step in solving the problem is acceptance. Once they acknowledge their gambling problems, solutions is at hand.

Gambling is something which comes out of lust for money, it can be stopped, only when one realizes its effect on his or her loved ones. This, i would say is self created and can be destroyed by the gambler himself. If one is mentally strong and has a sense of responsibility then only things would work out positive for the person. If we have someone who is addicted towards it we can guide him and make him or her realize his responsibility and the effect of it on his or her loved ones.

Seeking help would be a good idea.. The person will more then likely denie that they have a problem.. While gambling there is a rush that you get when you win.. I used to play the slots.. I can see how a night of entertinment can become a world of hurt financially, also phyiscally.. Some people can not sit in one place for a long period of time.. but when your playing those slots its like the pain just goes away... But man it hurt like crazy when you get up... Getting help would be a good idea for a person that may have a gambling addiction.. The thing of it is; all the help in the world will not help a person that can not admit that they have a problem.. You can "force a person to go" but what good is it if the person is not willing to change..

Yes that true, there are several people that I know who get sick not because they are drinking or smoking but because of gambling. Most often, a person who gambles really make it sure to have his/her full attention on what he/she is doing. They forget to eat on time and sometimes they control themselves to the call of nature and of course, they are sitting the whole time and worst, they don't have enough sleep.

Gambling is really hard to separate from people who are already addicted to it. The things that would keep them away from such addiction would be extreme scenarios in there life such as an event that will lead them to truly realize the importance of money.
