it`s irony..
he wants to stay in Manchester city and compete with 3 of another defender and be like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes in MU..
the unsame situation and comparation of course..
he moves to City because of money maybe
and now he ever is sold to Galatasaray or Fenerbache this season
but the transaction is failed and he still stays in El Etihad stadium
and now he said he want to be MU legend..Just kidding
it`s insane i think
what about yours guy??

I think had Kolo Toure stayed at Arsenal, he could have been like Ryan Giggs. But the moment he moved away he was off for both money and titles. Of course, now he has won the title, but now he will see the other side of the story. As Man City wants to win more titles and Toure is a costly buy, they would prefer to get younger faster defenders as and when they are available and offload Toure at the close of his current contract.
The story would have been different at Arsenal, but that's how things go.
Cheers!

Arsenal would do the same to offload Kolo Toure if they want younger and faster defenders even if he did stay. That is football. When you are no longer the force you were, you got moved aside. Arsenal is not a charity. Neither are any professional clubs.

Kolo Toure moved to Manchester City because of money and the chance to win honors. He succeeded. He earned big money and he won the EPL and FA cup, the two biggest prizes in England. His brother Yaya moved to Manchester City also because of money. I don't think he loved Manchester City so much so that he would leave Barcelona to join Manchester City if Manchester City did not offer him a weekly salary of £200,000. Yaya Toure would have joined Arsenal, Manchester United or Chelsea, but never Manchester City if not for Mancini AND the money. And in return, he gave the EPL crown to Manchester City.
Kolo Toure is competing with other players for a place in the team. It is natural in a top team with a big squad. He is not a bad player or else Arsene Wenger would not have played him 225 times in an Arsenal shirt.

Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott have been performing well for Manchester City, don't you think so? They are as good as Kolo Toure, if not better. Looking at past statistic is pointless in football as far as a player's perfromance is concerned. A player could be very good one year AGO but it does not mean he is good NOW. The coach will determine his selection of the team based on his tactic, the opponent's strength, and more importantly, the player's current physical and mental conditions. Kolo Toure has lost out on the chance to claim a regular spot in Manchester City by his 'slimming pill' episode. He was good for Arsenal at that time but now he may not be as good for Manchester City.
