So for a bunch of groups of people there are holidays coming up which are historically associated with spending lots of money. I've read here and there that there is a surge of online "make extra money" activity around this time of year. Since I have only been observing this industry for less than a year, I would like to hear people's opinions about: When does this surge tend to start (are we there now?), and When does it taper off (February...?). Thanks!

I would imagine that there is a surge of people trying to earn extra money online in these few months before Christmas.I would imagine this surge is mainly of people with children who try to give them the best Christmas they possibly can.I would also imagine there is a surge of people trying to earn extra money online just after Christmas to try and help pay off the Bills from Christmas and some people may have made a new years resolution to earn a little extra money to make some savings.

hi webtech this being the"i want everything "generation if the do not sp end themselves silly they think its not a go od Christmas. I like to give nice gifts to a few peo ple but I refuse to go into huge debts to do it. I do not think five year olds really need smart phones or super deluxe laptops.get them a practical desk top computer and led monitor,. use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without and yes we still have wonderful Christmases and they
only cost a fraction of what modern people now s pend on electronic gizmos. starts october and ends in January and Feb when common sense takes over and the taxes and credit card overloads are all due.this year in a lot of California homes the '
spending is not going to be as much as father and often mom too'are out of work or just got a new job.California is second to New
York State as having the most unemployed people.

Hi Hatley,
You can add Nevada to the high list of unemployment rate. I have been trying so hard to find a job and have had no luck. I am a college graduate with a Master's Degree and am told that I am overqualified. It hurts me because I really need a job to help out with expenses. I have Christmas to worry about as well as getting the car fixed. I am going to be working on my crafts so I can sell them online. I have a busy schedule, but I know with hard work and dedication I can do it. I am looking for extra ways online to make money. It is sad that today's kids want things such as a computer and a cell phone. I remember when I was younger I wanted sensible things like Barbies and Dolls.
