Happiness in life is not based off anything you have materially. Happiness can be achieved when you are complete in the Lord Jesus Christ; when you are contented on Him and when you make Him the priority of your life. There are many Christians in the world who does not own a house, whose clothes are worn out and whose food are not the best in the market but they are happy. They are happy because they are complete in Christ.

I think that the most important thing to do is to make sure that you know what you want to achieve in your life. It might help if you were to make a list of all of the things that you would like to achieve in your life in the next couple of years so that you would be able to start making steps to achieve these. I find that it is much better to be able to have at least a vague plan because then you know what you're doing and what the next stage is going to be, whereas if you don't have a plan then it can be very easy for you to just feel lost.

Just one important reminder. Don't plan ahead of God.
God bless!

Hi! Thanks for joining in. You are talking about advance planning right? When I was in high school, I remember that one of our teachers shared something very similar about what you've said. As someone has said, "when you fail to plan, you plan to fail." is this right? Well this I guess is about planning things out ahead of time.

that's very true. because nothing or no one can get our happiness if we have Christ in our life. thanks for sharing about God, and really no one can help us only Christ alone. God bless!
...good day!... :-)

God bless you too titomeong. I'm always glad to meet fellow Christians here in mylott. I can't figure out how many believers are here but day by day, i am privileged to meet one or two of them. May God bless you again and thank you for adding color to this discussion.

For me, happiness is having a peace of mind and heart, having a complete family living in a single roof and a stress-free environment. It may seem hard to achieve these, but I guess the easiest way to be happy is to see life as it is and be positive with whatever life brings you.

Thanks for posting this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, happiness cannot be derived from the material needs, it is only for short term benefits and pleasure. Real happiness for some comes from spending quality time with their parents or with the Lord. They are the real sources of happiness and without them happiness has no definition.
What say?

Hi thanks for joining in as well. Yes, happiness can't be derived from anything materially though we also need material things. You've mentioned about quality time with parents and with the Lord and it's a good one to mention here because there are some of the most neglected things in our days.

True. We can be happy if we have our faith. That's how it should be. But since we are still on earth, God made it possible for us to enjoy the earth's resources. As when He gave full control and management to Adam the land, water and air's resources.
Proves to show, we can also enjoy whatever we see on earth, as long as we work for it in good ways. Also, not wanting more than we need. Just enough and find contentment.
Cheers :)

Hi! Thanks for joining in. You are talking about contentment right? There are lots of people around us who owns lots of material goods but are not satisfied. When one learns to be satisfied with what God gives him no matter what, he will be happy. Nature is from God right? We can enjoy them and be happy about it.
