Ever since the blasphemous movie against prophet of Islam was made, Muslims have been protesting throughout the world, sometimes violently. Lot of criticism has been made against Muslims as a result of the violence.
Now the news is from European country Greece and the protesters are Christians who are angry for a blasphemous theater play that was being played the Hytirio Theater in central Athens.
Police clashed with protesters hurling petrol bombs and bottles in central Athens Wednesday after austerity protests called as part of a general strike in Greece turned violent.

While I do not condone any sort of violence, I am asking is it not time a line should be drawn to clarify what are the limits if any for freedom of expression.

Naseem sweetie..trust me, I know..Hindus can be like that too..:) Fanatics that is..:)
Actually many people get pre-programmed into thinking that the word about religion appearing somewhere must invariably mean something wrong is written about their religion.
For example, I started a discussion here. You all have Mohammed's name given to children, isn't it? So we too have Rama's name given to our children. The contemporary Rama is a lot different from the exemplary son in the holy epic. So I was just indicating that as a satire. I did expect a few brickbats 'cause the devil in me was up there doing something to check whether they really read the stuff. Idea was to make them read and realize the difference. And two of them did come up with arms against me..and I had to explain such things. Unfortunately they were not assiduous enough to take it further, or perhaps they were convinced that I was right on reading the content again..lol

Hi vandy, yes I agree, fanatics and intolerant people are found in every religion, cast and creed. And I know exactly how it feels like discussing with a fanatic who has been turned ON. No matter how hard you try to explain to them, they will keep on repeating the same stuff again and again testing your patience.

I think they have some areas of their smoothened out like we used to have in old records..I dont know if you saw those gramaphone records. But the needle would keep moving in the same groove, over and over again. To me the problem is because of some problem in the brain. So in a way, you and me are blessed I suppose. :)
Any news about Malala? What a brave girl..

It is wrong when people turn to violence as we see here.
But at least these protesters did not turn to murderers
all the best, urban
