If I don't work for a living, what would I love to do?

What is it that you love doing? For me, if I don't have to work, I would love to laze around all day. Play and be with my family. I would love us to go to places we've never been to before and just enjoy each other's company. I might even be reading lots of books ranging from comics to educational ones. But most importantly, if I don't work for a living and is free to do what I love to do, I would think of solutions to solve my family's problems. How about you MyLot users? What is it that you would love to do if you are not busy with working for a living? Be open, don't limit yourself. Just let your thoughts flow. No matter what comes up in your mind just type it.

Your question is also what I usually think about. If I dont work,I will build a little house and live alone, immerse myself in music and be a fantast to share my emotions with others by words. If possible,I will meet the man I am waiting for.I only want to live peaceful and happiness.

I am sure you will live peacefully and in happiness--as long as you picture out your life to be that way right now. Someday, you won't know, that you've finally made this vision of yours come true. Envision everyday--this'll fuel your passion and soon you'll succeed in achieving your dreams.

I would take time to learn my music pieces and also be more serious with my guitar lessons. Do all My ACCA exams and of course aim to pass all of them with high grades. I would take time to write music lyrics and watch series. Do chores around the house before I go out, so that my Mum could relax when she gets home. Travel a bit and enjoy myself to the maximum.

That's so sweet! I am doing everything I do right now for my mom--I mean, doing my best to learn everything about money and how to use it so that we all can be financially free and she free from her debts that she incurred while she's still single. The way she looks right now is very different to how her face was years ago--when she wasn't so stressed with her debts. I hope I can help her as soon as I could that's why I am doing my best. I'm kinda jealous of you for being so considerate to your mother--I mean, doing your chores around the house. I don't do that. I mean, I can but I just don't like household chores. I never liked school assignments so how much more my own home chores/assignments? And since I know that I hated those chores, I focused on learning what I can--focusing merely on the long term comfort of my mom rather than the actual and practical... I hope you are doing well with your mother. Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

I would love to clean the whole city. There is so much dirt and garbage around and the government is like blind. This is not my country but this is part of the world which I live in. I am living here because of my hubby .. I treat the whole world mine and I want it clean. I don't know why the residents are so not concerned about the garbage here. If given a chance I will make this place sparkling. I don't mind picking the garbage with my hands also. This is what I really want to do.. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Cleaning the world? That's a very neat goal! Don't the residents there have a group that manages the place? If not, you may raise this concern during community meetings. In my village, the elders enact this projects that keeps our place garbage free and danger free. Maybe you can try there first to turn this vision of yours into reality.

If I don't work for living, then firstly I will make a fitness schedule and follow it regularly, because I think health is the base of everything of you. Then I will make a clear travel plan because travel around the world always is my dream,of course I will spend more time to accompany with my family and try my best to let everyone in my family healthy and happy.

I like that! You are right, one of the greatest asset man can have is his health aside for his mind. You can't travel and enjoy the world and your time with people if your health is poor. That's why when I finally can solve our debt problems, I plan to give time for my mom to heal before we go and celebrate. People who have debts are very much prone to different kinds of illnesses compared to those who have no debts, after all. I hope you're doing great! Thank you very much for sharing your side. This is an eye opener indeed because people often forget that they have something that any wealth in the world cannot buy. Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

I am now a college student,i dont have many experiences of working all day for a job.Maybe job really limit ourselves, make us unable to pursue the things we really want to do.Assume that i neednt to work for a living, then i would put my heart into thingking a lot, maybe some issues to do with philosophy,or quantum physics. I am a person love the beauty of humans thoughts very much.I would like to figure out whether there exist soul or not.Is the consciousness just some chemical signals in our brain? Its really a fat chance that i can find the truth, but what the hell,i just enjoy thinking such things. And its sure that everyone have entitle to choose what they love,so when we have spare time, enjoy the life.

Working for a living or work may not necessarily mean just a job to keep you thriving. It can also mean school work for students and the like. I kinda understand your want to just think. I do think quite a lot when I have a chance too. Between work, or just before and after sleeping. That's why my healer often scolds me for having stressed myself in just thinking deep thoughts. She can feel under her hands what my head has been through. And I can feel the consequences of thinking too much--which is mostly pain. But what the heck, so long as I can understand something more, it's a pain well worth it. I am glad you shared your thoughts. Hope you're doing great in your school--so that when you graduate you can make businesses and become rich to have enough time to think. Have a nice day!

Working for a living and sacrifice your freedom to do the things that you like is an unpleasant concept indeed. One should not be shackled to work in order to survive. I think a world would be a nicer place if one only works because it pleases oneself and not have to work merely to make ends meet.

If I didn't have to work, I'd probably laze around a lot, but would do other things like just travelling around the area close to where I live, maybe going away for long weekends, just doing whatever I fancied - impulsively - at the time. I might also do some voluntary work or learn something new.

You're not really sure on what you would have wanted to do? Well, after all, this question is a bit hard to answer...

It seems that when I was a child I am so happy because I don't have to work, everyday just play and sleep, I wish to be like that if I don't have to work for a living, spending time at home is great, I would also like to travel to other countries and reading celebrities magazine, to catch up latest celebrity news.

Not bad! I have similar wants as well. Being just a child and feeling secured and comfortable--being in a world where everything is just plain and simple, that's a rather nice life. I once thought that once I am out of the range of being a child. There's no going back. That must be the reason why the adults kept telling me to enjoy my childhood days. But now, I know better, life like that of a child's can still go back, so long as one is intelligent enough and a dreamer enough to make the right decisions, follow the right plans and have knowledge to be able to escape the rat race and be financial-worries free.

If I didn't have to work I would spend all day on my art and paint lot of pictures and make lots of photomanipulations. I think that it would be fantastic to spend my days like that, it is my dream to live like that. I would also spend more time on writing and finally finish the novel that I have been working on. I love to visit to travel and visit new places and I would travel as much as I could and visit a lot of different places in my own country and abroad. In my own country there are many small islands. I have visited some of them, but I would like to visit some of the islands where I have been yet. Outside my own country there are also lots of places that I would like to visit, and I would travel as much as I could afford.

I love your dream! I too would like to just focus on my drawings and paint digitally. I'm not very sure with photo-manipulations but maybe I'll do that some time anyway. I too also have a novel that I've been working on since I was still in high school. It would be great to get it out of my head since I still have a lot of plots going on--plots generated from my sleep actually...

probably doing every thing that I am doing, except less stress and more joy. No burden of deadlines, expectations and all that things that make me hate now that I am an adult. Like you, I would also, enjoy being a couch bum and a TV or computer hogger. I'll probably go outside more without fear of budgets and scrimping everything. Perhaps, I might even try to live out of my country. I will probably have less doubts and fears. Livelife a little bit more than whta I am doing.

That's a great thing to love. No stress but still work to satisfy your want to work. I hope you have a plan to make this into reality. It's not impossible, I believe.

well probably you can start living your lifestyle by liking and living to your dream life and pursuing your passion till the last rather than money

Thanks for dropping by in almost every one of my discussions! I'm afraid my dream life is a very expensive dream, natliegleb. I say it's expensive considering that dream has comfort, security and luxury. Right now, my life only has the comfort part and it's very limited. It cannot even reach the half the comfort of my dream life. Besides, if I had all three right now, I know it'll only be for a short period of time. I want that dream to last longer than 2 months. The only way for me to do that is learn how to use money and apply everything that I have learned so that I can be financially free in the next 5 years...hopefully.

Interesting question friend. If i would not earn for living, i would love to roam around whole world. I want to go Bahamas, Disneyland and many other places. If it is not possible then i would love to play games on Computer all the time. I love horror and action games.

It is a question I ask myself to find the whys of what I do. More than the hows, my whys are the reason why I do things that way I do. Let's just say, it's one of the questions that allows me to find my motivation. After that, it allows me to find a plan to make that dream a reality. I like what you will do when you don't have to work for a living. Travelling around is one of my dreams too. I do love horror and action games. The one and only one game that really took my breath away was the Masquerade--the 1st one. I like how they manipulated the game to make it seem like you're really there. I think I fell in love with it the first time I played it. The other horror games, paled in comparison in terms of special effects on sound and AI behaviors. But then again, I don't know how much those games improved nowadays since it's been quite a while since I played.

that really is a difficult question. if left by myself i shall keep wandering around. finding new things to do, and finishing none

Yeah, this question is difficult especially if one does not really look into oneself and find out what is it that one really wanted. It's one of the questions one should ask oneself to determine one's purpose in life--or what one thinks as his true purpose. And yes, there is no end to this purpose we have because our purpose is something that we pursue to become. It is something you be--not something you do. That's why we are called "human beings"--not "human doings".

Over in a couple of days? I don't think so. If you want to try your hand on your many interests, I doubt even a week would suffice. I know the want to do things you love but had to put them off because you have to go to work. That's why I am planning a future where I can do those that I like without having to worry about going to work just to make money everyday and can't afford to have breaks. I believe that if we just do things that we love, money will just come--of course under calculated knowledge. I hope you have a plan to make this "love doing" of yours a reality. And you'll get to realize them soon.

One of the things that I have always wanted to do would be to help raise money for charity. I have done this a fair bit in my spare time, but I would like to do it a little bit more in the future because it is a very worthwhile cause. I don't really have the time to be able to do it at the moment though because I am having to work full time in order to pay the bills and help me to save up for a flat that I have been wanting for a fair amount of time. Hopefully in the future I will be able to achieve my dreams in the long term.
