People that are rude, condescending, interrupt you..... Yes I am speaking of Vice President Joe Biden. He is what inspired this discussion. I do not want this to turn into a political discussion, it is about rude people in general. During the debate, Biden interrupted Paul Ryan 85 times in a 90 minute debate. I belong to a civic club here. We have a member that acts this way all of the time. He has done everything, been everywhere...you know the type. I can usually handle about 5 minutes speaking to him then I just walk away. Usually he is still talking. I always wonder how long it took him to realize that nobody is there! How do you handle people like this?

You do just like Paul Ryan did, you rise above it and let them make a fool of themselves.

Tell me bout it. I have got someone in my life that is actually like that and it is very annoying at times. You just feel like shutting them up or slapping them at times. lol I basically ignore rude people because they are just not worth it to put up with.

There are really instances when we have to get along with this kind of people whether we like it or not. Most often at our job. What I would do if I have encountered such is that I would just ignore them or would stay away from them whenever possible. I remember when the time I was just applying for the job and we have to undergo a process called group oral examination wherein there are several applicants and we are given a topic to talk about. I encountered one of the applicant monopolizing the discussion and interrupting when others are talking. I could not stand her so I told her in a very nice manner if we could let others to share their opinions. I got a very high grade for that action. Giving some direction to people who are lost can also be a good action. Have a nice day laglen!

I think to myself, blah, blah! Oh, yes, I know quite a few people like that, you can't get in a word edge wise. If you start to make a comment about what they're saying, they just talk louder over what you're trying to say! I think those kind of people who do this just like to hear their own voice! I usually try to make an excuse that I have to go, because if I stay and listen to them go on and on, I get a headache!

The head ache alone should be excuse enough! The guy I am speaking of, I don't even say anything, I just walk away. I figure he is so rude he won't even notice this.

Most of the time I just ignore them. Occasionally I am rude enough myself to give them an exasperated look and walk away. Rude people sometimes don't realize they're being rude, so when we react, they don't know why. I think some people just don't care, though, or do it or purpose.

You know, I have a boss who is rude and always interrupt me when I am doing something in the middle, he will go "Wendy, come here" and delegate another and another tasks for me, I know he know I am doing something at work but he just plays blind which I don't like, I prefer people who are modest and kind in words.

In the past I have had to count to ten and then what I do is I tend to give up on the conversation that I am having with a person, rather than try to keep calm with the one butting in all the time.

I just used to handle them in a gentle way. I just try to maintain good relation with him, I just do so because it is only one who knows the role of each of us in our life. So I just try to be cool in front of every one even if I am not with them.

Well I just control my patience whenever I encounter a rude people. And I guess it's the best way to do. Besides, I don't want to start any fight and I don't want things to be complicated. :)
