Some people having too much wealth doesn't seem to know when to stop. The obsession of continuously earning is what they have set their mind into. They do not find happiness because they could not see themselves being out of money and so they struggle to keep on making money. These people just don't seem to get enough of it. It could be a manic state.

but there are some persons whose obsession is to earn money for others to have peace of mind and security. you know who? The Finance Ministry. Have you realized that? They are bureaucrats whose obsession is that the currency you and i use is stable and secure, otherwise, our countries would run into debt and economic slavery. consider what is happening to greece.

More Money never gives us the happiness but it gives the stress and fear because may be robbers came and stole it so we cant sleep properly. Some family members killed other family members for money. So if money is limited then feel happy otherwise not. Health and wealth both are necessary in life.

thanks surekharathi. money gives us stress and fear, so does our jobs and our friends. family members can kill other family members for money; family members can kill other family members for politics. i wonder what is that one problem or ailment which is special to having money or too much money. i think no one can help me in the whole wild world.

Thanks a ton for the discussion. Well i do not think having too much wealth causes any hard to anyone. It is just that the happiness and personal satisfaction simply eludes the person owning it. There is money but there is no happiness, no excitement and no elation. This in turns affects the overall condition of a human being. What say?

Ive always felt that people I know who have money arent happy. They seem to always have problems. And most are caused by money. Id rather be happy and poor just like I am.

you could be poor and unhappy, especially if you think you are battling some personality problems or people around you turn you on the wrong way often and on. we all have something that makes us unhappy, so i think having too much money is no big fault or cause of any malaise to a human being.

Well some who already have a lot still want some more.. That becomes a problem. When you get too preoccupied with getting more, you become obsessed with the idea, you get sleepless nights, you become paranoid that someone might be following you and plans to rob you clean of your wealth, that sort of thing.. Obsession can lead to more dangerous psychological problems..
