Why can't there be healthy candy?

Wouldn't it be nice if there was such a thing as healthy candy? I personaly wish there was.
Being pregnant, it is very hard to not want to eat candy all the time. I know its not good for the baby so I make sure I stay away from it as much as possible, but I really wish there was candy that was healthy. I know there are forms of candy that are sugar free, but those just aren't good enough for me.
Don't get me wrong, they dont taste bad, but even those kind of candies aren't good for you. I just wish there was a candy out there that actually benifits you instead of harming you down the road.

Anything you can eat/drink can be bad for you, you just have to do it in moderation. How far along are you in your pregnancy? Congratulations!

@ Alisha Congratulations! Just do things in moderation. It will come time that it doesn't matter what you do in life it's if you do in moderation things aren't so bad. One must know our limitations.

Alisha3388 Congratulations..is this your first?? I like candy too but I actually found ripe fruit is just as satisfying. My problem with candy is the craving..once I start I can't stop. If I don't start with that first piece, I am not as tempted ...
The only sugarless I like is a combo of chocholate carmel nuts that I think is as good as regular ..but I worry about the harmful affects of the artificial sweetener...
Much happiness to you and your new little one..Gid Bless

Yes, it is my first! And it's a girl :) I love fruit, but I always find myself walking down the candy isle and wanting everything! It doesn't help that I work at Walmart either. Everywhere I turn, I see candy everyday. But lately I have been doing good with not eating it! Thank you very much and God bless you as well! :)

That would be an 'oxymoron'....two things that contradict themselves...candy and healthy. And most oxymorons are not obtainable. I think people put far to hard on candy. A piece or two of candy a day won't hurt you a bit. A Starburst and a handfull of m and m's...where's the harm? As long as you do it intelligently and porpotionally..meaning one or two starburst candies and a small handfull of M's.
But the good part of that is...if you satisfy a craving with a little bit...you tend not to want more, thereby want more, and more and more! After awhile that you have been eating a piece or two a day...it will get to that is all you want and then...you won't miss it if you don't have it. I haven't had a piece of candy in so long I don't remember what the last piece was that I had. Candy is what you make it to be!

I can't really think of any really healthy candy, but I do recommend the type of candies that either have a lot of mint or a lot of the shredded coconut shards in the chocolate. They may not fit your style, but I think it's better than having solid chocolate / caramel (or its variants).
