i think most of us are keen to earning money and money is something that everyone wants in life, but we do not realize that the lust for money takes us far from our day to day happiness. herein i would like to talk about people who leaves their wife, children, mother, father, all the loved ones behind and go to a different land to earn money, they do not see their son taking the first step, they are not there when they are required to be present by the side of their parents, they don't have their wives waiting for them at the end of a days tiring work. Is this what we want from our lives. I feel we should earn money because it is required for living but see our happiness too. mylot friends i would expect your views on this

I agree with you although the fact remains that the world has turned into a big global village and distances have no meaning besides people go out to work where they get best deals and perhaps encouraged by family members themselves because their interests are involved. I agree that every thing you mentioned is a reality as I do know it with my personal experience but there is no alternate for some one who has done so much to reach somewhere. Cheers.

Read your comment on the post and yes experience is what speaks. I feel the same but when i look at our lives and compare it to the lives lead by our ancestor. i find we are less happier than them.

I think that happiness is more important and that money might come afterwards depending on the situation at hand. Happiness is the greatest feeling that we all want to live and find accordingly. Money is something that if you become obsess with makes me you unhappy. Much more, money should be regarded as something that we need to live, it should not become a burden.

Hi Sumit, This is a good point you have posted here, as a daughter of a father who worked overseas, its was a painful experience for me. I used to feel lonely and discontent for not having my father by my side especially during my developing years. People use to look up to us and heave a sign of jealously since i use to get all these "foreign" chocolates. Frankly behind the glitz and glamorous of these foreign goods lies a painful cry of a child and woe of a wife. But its not just the person who is driven by the passion of work or money but its also the family members who play a huge role is chasing out their sons to the foreign lands and lets them suffer so that they can have a relaxed environment at home. The mothers and wife of these poor souls see only the good side after these sons of land come back but God and their poor souls tell a different story all together. The native of this lands are foreigners on those foreign lands and are mostly viewed as pest and parasites by the natives. They are usually treated with less respect, along and forgotten these souls have nowhere to turn to for comfort. Such is the fate of some yet some other find love, friends and family in those lands and become native among them.

Hi Salma i understand what you must have gone through and i have real concern for you. I can feel it right from here how things must have been for you as a child. I would like to put my hats off to your father too, as he must have faced a lot of difficulty too. I understand it because me too i stayed for years in foriegn land far away from my parents. Sorry for resonding you late.

On realistic side, nowadays, people are working hard just to earn money.. Most of of them are for their families needs or somes are for what they do wanna have or buy. But hapiness still include in it.. its only thru their purpose that while earnings they also give happiness for whom they will use or give it. There was only so much sacrifices of earnings, for your families other way of happiness.. But it is how they can consider your sacrifice for them, that though you weren't able to be with them all the time, but if they sees what you've been dreaming of for them is another way of happiness of appreciating what you did for their future.
