the reawakening of the bumblebee

Three days ago I found a lifeless bumblebee on the ground. It is a known fact that one can sometimes help weakened bumblebees (and I believe some other bee species, too) with suggared water. So I tried offering it a small spoon of that liquid. Unfortunatley it didn't touch it. So I left it where it was assuming it would just die. However, when I came back two hours later it was gone. Meanwhile it had rained very much and so I thought it had been washed away. Couldn't find it though. Then, two days later - yesterday - I found the very same bumblebee laying on its back under the patio. It must have crawled there in the rain and died I thought. But far from it! When I touched it to turn it around it suddedly moved a leg. So I ran and got another spoon of suggared water. This time it would drink! At first very slow and then more and more hasty. I was lucky to have my camcorder with me so I can share that miraculous experience with you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPMeKU6HuU4
