How much do you want to me to give you with the amount you saw above and what are you going to do with the money? Late this afternoon, I am having a sort of bonding with my family when my phone alarmed and determines that I got a message. The message says "Congratulations!!You've won second prize on our previous draw. This is Javier of President Ninoy Aquino's Foundation, please call me as soon as soon possible." Out of curiosity, I called the number. He answered and asked some personal information. He explained how did I win in this promotion. To cut it short, I was given 3 options on how will I get the money: 1. Western Union 2. Savings Account( Passbook) 3. Personal Claim I asked him that I want the option 2 and he informed me that I need a a passbook account but I only have an ATM account. My second option was through western union. I was informed that they can't deposit the whole amount because the branch ca't release a big money as given above. They can send it to me but will have to divide by 3. I was given the condition that I have to send Php1,500 or $36 because they can only cover Php23,500.00/ $560.00. He texted me the information where to send the money. Before doing an action, I asked my family about this and all of them disagree not to send money and just ignore the call. I asked for the office telephone number. He asked me to callback again, I called and he told me that they don't disclose the office telephone number. On that point in time, I informed him that I am related to President Ninoy Aquino and then he said goodbye at once. That is really obvious that is a BIG SCAM!!It's good that I did the right thing. Did you ever experienced this also before? What did you do? please share?

I receive it on a weekly basis-if it doesn't get on my phone then surely it's on my inbox!:) And guess what, if we are careful enough, some people doesn't notice it's being suspicious and believe immediately. Yes, a lot are still victims of this fraud winning tactics etc.. How will we ever win a raffle, lottery or get a reward without even joining that org/contest? With that alone, it really sounds too good to be true. So let's be extra careful:)

We really have to be very careful with those "modus operandi". a lot of people are doing tactics just to survive. with the current situation of our country, we can't blame those people do all this things. they also want to survive just like us. the only problem is that they do it in a wrong way.the government should act on this, especially they are using even the name of the president. this destroys the credibility of the president as well.

I always received those kind of scam messages. I just ignored it as I always watched on the television that, that is one of the modus operandi of those syndicates .Addition to that kind of scams, there is also pretending as an Overseas family love ones and then would inform you to wait for his package and then will ask for a load in the end.We should always be aware on those kind of scams and let not us be the victim of them.

Actually, I always ignore these kind of of scams. I just don't know what triggers me to coordinate with them. In the end, I realized that I wasted my time on them, I should be sleeping that very moment. Maybe because of my financial status.I want to settle all my bills without knowing that I am involving myself to another scam or another issue.

I can't recall how many times I have received text messages informing me that I won big amounts from foundations and such and prompted to contact Attorney so and so. I am familiar with this scam and I would just reply with "GO TO HELL" or just ignore. I would even reply with, "Have you nothing more to think of? I hope you die today with heart attack or run over in the streets by a big truck" which I stored in my template... lol

I have expirience that already. Someone will text/call you saying you won blah blah. Mostly I just ignore it but sometimes I make fun of them, like saying i will call the police or tell a multi billionaire and i dont need their money like that. First of all didnt join any raffle draw or competition so why i'm gonna win if dont join? Second, why they asking for money before they will the whole payment/prize?

they play with me, and I also played with them and in the end I make it sure that they lose the game. I asked what is the process in sending them the money? who to send the money.?i can see the excitement on his voice, then before the end of the conversation, i informed him that I am related to President Aquino, and I heard his voice and I can feel the disappoinments, and at once he said goodbye and asked to advice him if i am already to send the money,I smiled and say, "okay" thank you and have a nice day ahead!"

They are well-trained. they have already rebuttals for all the concerns of the clients that they targeted.they make it sure that they can close the deal. I pity those people who were victims of this scammers. they should be given a sanction.i know they are just doing their job, but they have to think of theirself. their famuly. what if this also happens on one of his/ her family members? what he/she will do?

I want our government act on this. I will be reporting it to the National Telecommunication Company(NTC). I really want them to be punished, there are people in our area who suffered from this and I want to give a justice to them because they deserve it. I know it would be hard for the NTC to trace the owner of the number but still I'm looking forward that something has to happen afterwards.

This is very rampant , some were really victimized especially those who are material inclined people , when hears a money like in many digits , eyes will glitter then will grab whatever is being offered . Blinded with many digits , can no longer have use common sense and on which will just found themselves regretting . But in fairness , people nowadays are brilliant and smart , knows what is real and a scam. NTC are aware of these things , am sure feedbacks and complains reaches their table. But i don't know if they are doing something about this ..Hope they wil..

I just don't know with sites who disclose our information.I'm sure mylot take good care of our privacy here. They don't give any of our private information here. the best thing about this site is we get to enjoy the site, we learn here and at the same time we earn.

Oh, I just received a text message this morning telling that I also won some money. I just deleted the message. I know it wasn't real. I haven't joined any draw or something, so why did I win? LOL. I usually receive this kind of text every week. They just want you to send them money and just let you waste money in calling them. I'm glad you didn't give them the money. We should never believe these scams. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I have heard about scams like this quite a lot but usually it is carried out through emails. Most of these scam emails I have heard of have originated in Nigeria. Usually along the lines of if you send £1000 pound I will share a lot more with you. They usually claim that they have a family fortune due to them which they will give you a significant proportion of in Return for allegedly paying some necessary fee to get this money such as bank fees or solicitors fees. Its a shame there isn't really a way to track these people down and stop this kind of crime.

Online and offline scammers are hard to track. they are very intelligent with their plans, they alredy know what are the moves. they are experts so we really have to be very careful so we won't experience to be a victim of them. if i go with their game that day, maybe I already belong to one the victims today.I'm glad that I have my family on the side and advice me not to play with them.

Yes...I also experienced the same thing. The only difference was that he was calling from Nigeria and I am from the Philippines...so pathetic for him that he spend money by overseas calling me...in which he can't even earn a single penny from me!

wow, that was really far!scammers thought that Filipinos will easily avail the scam especially the it is coming from other country. Others will think that it is legitimate. it's good that you did not entertain that scam. I'm sure they will just take advantage of us. we really have to be very careful nowadays because of the current situation of our country, a lot of people will really do a lot of things just to survive.

Yeah, an obvious scam. However, I am sure there are still some individuals falling for it. They won't continue doing so if they aren't scamming anyone. I really hate such cheaters. But surely, when I encounter such scam, I will have to give in to them just to entertain and amuse myself. I'll let them waste their time on thinking I am gullible enough to fall to their scam and will surely teach them a lesson by giving them a dose of their own medicine.

Good you ignored it. They are bad guys lurking on unsuspecting people to take advantage of. Ten years ago I was I was greatly in need when someone texted me a message informing me that I won 360,00 pesos. I leaped for joy but it did not last long when the man asked me to text him 30 call card numbers worth 300 pesos each. I said to Him in reply, Please pay for me the necessary amount, just deduct it from what you will send me. After that, he's gone.

Oh yah, this is definitely a scam. I've gotten plenty of scam emails like this - it all sounds too familiar. They will do anything to find a sucker, eh? That's funny you told them you were related to President Ninoy Aquino. I am tempted to jokingly give them a taste of their medicine somehow, but I just don't want to deal with it. I can sniff a scam when I see one - so I mostly just ignore them.

that is the wrong move that i've done yesterday. maybe just out of curiosity that is why i played with the caller. before the end of the conversation,i felt that he was really afraid. i told me him that i am related to our president and never about this project or promotion. sometimes we have to do white lies for our own security.

That is actually one of the reason why I tried it. Just in case it is true, it can pay off all my credit card bills. I can establish a small business on that. I can help my mom on her needs. But my brother did not agree for me to have contacts with them.He told me that I'm just gonna waste my money and time. He is older than me,so i have to follow him and maybe he experience it before already that is why he is telling me all those things.

Good thing you have not been scammed. I've encountered something like this and I thank God that nothing happened. It was a fake email sent to me, informing me that I have won a lottery amount of around $5,000.00. I researched about the email address and the people who sent me the email, and found out they are part of a group of scammers.

It is good that you conducted a research first before doing another move. what you've done is a great move.i also received some e-mails and asking me some details. it is actually from Nokia U.K. promo. i am really confuse. probably i'll forward the letter to Nokia and handle it, they have enough resources to check on this issues. it is very important that we are very careful or less we will suffer in the end.
