I rarely travelled when I was a kid and I am planning a trip in about 10 months. Any suggestions? I live in the US and would love to go to Europe. I was thinking Czech Republic, Hungary, and Ukraine since that's where my ancestors are from. I would love to hear from everyone about their experiences.

Since I have never been to Europe I cannot recommend a specific country but I think going to a place where you have ancestry/family should be your first stop before other things. I think it will empower you.

I'm from Romania and despite of people's opinions, this country is a very beatiful one. I visited my country a lot because I find exploring new teritory is very interesing. Meet new people, make friend who live in another city, view of the amazing mountains and the atmosphere of the Danube Delta are elements which make this country atractive. In fact, there are many places to visit and you need to research about it . I guarantee that you'll love this country before you visit these amazing places.

I visited lovely Hungary at age 18 years old and found Budapest to be a very beautiful city and at that time prices were cheap. Then when I was aged 24 I visited the Czech Republic and found Prague to be ever so lovely and picturesque. I plan to visit the Ukraine next year. I suggest you visit Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Moldova.
