No matter how I tried to be thrifty at all times, I just don’t know why I am always running out of fund for the last few months. I was already able to return to my permanent station yet there are still expenses that we have to deal with as we have to finish some of the outputs that are required of us. Aside from that, I also have to pay for the transportation fare in the amount of 170 pesos ($4.25) per day. So I decided to stay with my mother who happens to be staying in my place of assignment. I have been here since Monday and I will only go home on Wednesday after the closing of the Kasangayahan, local festival in the place. With this decision, I was able to save around $8.50 dollars. I was also able to visit my mother and my brother and sister. Although I wanted to go home everyday to be with my family, I have to consider also the expenses so I decided to stay on the place. I hope my budget would be stable on the next days. Have a nice day everyone!

Hi alutka! We really have to make choices by weighing the underlying circumstance of our action. On my part I know it would be hard to end the day without seeing my family. But I know that what I am doing is for the benefit of everybody. Thank you for sharing!

Nice to know that you are planning so well, and its really very necessary these days. All the prices has gone up and horrible ,so its nice that you have a strategy for everything, i am very lazy in all these things, but from now atleast i will try to be serious.

Hi prashu! I need to do this thing in order to save some amount event though I know that I need to sacrifice for a little. My children are big already so I'm sure they also understand my situation. Thank you for giving your opinion on this matter.

Hi nat! That is the price I have to give up in exchange for not seeing my family after a day's work. This is just the start. I'm sure I will have to continue with this set up specially no that I already received an order to report to another municipality which is a few kilometers more than my present office. Anyway, it is better this way than having no job at all. I am doing this for my family also.

Sometimes, we really have to make a few sacrifices here and there to save money and to manage our expenses. At least you get to be with them weekly, if not as often as you would want to but I am sure they also understand. I also thought of having my own apartment closer to my work before rather than staying with my family. But after I put all the expenses of renting an apartment side by side with staying with my family, as well as the pros and cons, I ended up staying at home even though the traffic is killing me and I have to wake an hour earlier just so I wouldn't be late for work.

Hi Raine! That is exactly what I am doing right now. I am trying everything to make both ends meet. Tomorrow, I have to report to my new assignment and I have to deal with another problem. I haven't been in the place and it's my first time to go out of the provincial office aside from the time that I had to go to a field immersion with a group. Now, I have to do it on my own. But I am very positive that it would be a big help on my career. The place is several kilometers away from my provincial office which means several kilometers additional expense on fare. But of course this is a part of my job and I have to do everything to do good with the present job that I have. Thank you for sharing!

Hi aries, Glad to see you here! The economics of the gobal is not good as you can see many of the statistics of economics are deteriorative. The umemployment rate keeps high. My situatin is not better than you for I have been out of work for almost 5 months and have to deal with everyday's expenditure. In this period I am finding the job in the human resource market meanwhile I study the knowledge that I may use in my later career. I believe people make living by selding something they have. If you want to earn more you have to seld something valuable to others. Under this consideration, one is never too old to learn. Saving money is important for current fixed imcome, but the most important is you have to make progress time to time. If you are valuable to you boss, you are undoubtedly get higt payment. Let's go ahead.

Hi paul! Thank you for giving time for this discussion. I agree with your thoughts on matters regarding employment. There are really some who are not very lucky when it comes to career building. But I know everyone can find the proper place. We just have to be patient and hardworking. On my part, I am experiencing this thing because there is a work related activity that I had undergone and this activity resulted to the depletion on my savings but I know this is only temporary and I can recover in the days to come. I am not complaining about my present salary because I know I am well compensated. It's just that there are really somethings that are out of control. That is why i am trying to adopt some strategies that would help me save some amount for the time being. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I really appreciate it! I hope you could also realize whatever plans and dreams you may have in the future. Good luck and have a nice day!
