Today I took part in a class discussion about the privacy on the internet. We all have different views. To me I really think our privacy on internet is unsafe. Although many websites will offer the option to set privacy control when users sign on, it's far from enough to protect our privacy I think. We konw, we always need to offer the name, the phone number and even the ID numeber when we sign up to a site. No one can promise our information won't be revealed, otherwise how can have so much gangsters and telemarketing calls now.
These days I have found a new strange phenomenon. That is if this week I often browse some websites about wine, then the follow days no matter what websites I open, there would be pop-up some small selling-wine advertising on the window. So I feel maybe we really have not much privacy on the internet.
Mylotters, what do you think?
