I happened to read a news article that reported that women in the United Kingdom and America are selling breast milk online and it has reached a certain extent that women are using forums on Facebook to make this money.
Now, I can understand appreciate the pros of breast milk which is basically good for newborn babies especially when it provides babies with a better protection against illnesses and allergies. But, I cannot help feeling out of sorts especially the safety of these milk.
Making money is one thing but can we really trust the safety, hygiene or validity date? Can we trust the sellers' health? What if the seller are drug users, taking medications or has infectious disease like AIDS or Hepatitis? There is a chance that the milk may not be breast milk even.
I do not know about you, but I am one skeptical customer that would not want to take the risk for my baby. The risks is too great here.
What about you? Would you buy it? If you are, how are you going to ensure that the milk is safe or is actually breast milk?

Never
I will never buy those milk because those milk or the product may contain the particles which can affect the health of the child. If I have no other ways to have milk then I have to buy it but I will make sure that it do not contain any substance which will effect the health.

I too am thinking in your direction. i do not trust these people and their marketing. They do tell more than what the product really is. For money people will o anything in this world. Better stay away. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

When we adopted our two sons at three months, it was not that long before the part about br*st milk being best for babies, and would protect my sons from certain diseases. Had there been a way to bottle br*st milk and put it in the freezer section of certain health stores, I would have liked it. I am too old now, but had mothers milk been available commercially, maybe I would have felt better and they would have been prevented from pneumonia that they had as babies. We do have to be sure that there are steps taken to be sure of the safety of the milk. It would be a boon for adoptive parents because Ii suspect that the reason lots of girls do not give their babies up for adoption is because the adoptive mother would bottle feed the infant.

I can understand the concerns for safety and as such, I am wondering if the health authorities could consider authorizing their milk banks to commercialize this in the future.
Using private enterprises will not be feasible and practical especially when they will need extensive financial resources to setup specialized screening facilities and employ qualified medical practitioners to ensure the health of the contributing party.
On the other hand, milk banks would already have the personnel and facility to ensure the safety and requirements to make the milk safe and fit for babies to consume.

I'm probably on the same side as you in being skeptical with these milk. I don't want to say something bad to the people who are contributing their milk for other people but as a father I would rather try goats milk than not knowing where it came from.
Thankfully my wife never had issues with providing for our baby.
