Should Children do pagents or not do them

So this year since my family has a tree farm in south Florida we do try to make it the best we can. We have a concert everyear with kids singing and some adults as well. Also have hayrides and a cafe as well with the fake snow. Try to do the best we can. Now onto the real subject this year my mom decided to do a pageant and my boyfriend is saying that kids shouldnt be doing that at all and i say let the kids do it and have fun its something else for the families to enjoy while selling or picking out a christmas tree. He doesnt agree with me at all and keeps saying that kids shouldnt be doing something like that and its wrong for them and his opinion of course matters but i dissagree big time with him.
When i was younger iwas in pagents and love them so i keep tellig him that its alot of fun for children to do and you cant say it isnt because winning something for a child means a lot and might bring there dignity up as well.

If it is just a Christmas Pageant, i just can't see the reason why someone want to object letting children taking part in it, those kids can have fun and win some prize too if all the preparation come with it do not cost them too much time and distracted from doing their school works and disrupt schooling schedule. I support your view.

Hello lolog. What is behind your boyfriends objection to pageants? Kids love to act in front of an audience. I can give them confidence to speak in front of groups. My grandkids love to preform in front of other people. I agree with you unless your boyfriend has a really good reason for not having a pageant then go ahead with it.

He is wrong. Let the children do the pageant. Is it because he is against that the Pilgrims were Christians and he would also be against not only a Thanks giving pageant but also a Christmas one with the manger and the Christ child and someone playing Mary and Joseph? You have to ask specifically why. Because there is something behind that besides the children may be too young and they might get hurt.
