I know many people do that big once a year Spring cleaning in your homes to make room for the Summer clothes, to get all those cob webs that grew over the Winter months, wash the windows, clean out the garage, set up the lawn or deck furniture and what ever you do to Spring clean. Is that the only time you do this? Do you try to sell some of these items instead of throwing them away or do you give them away? I like going to the flea market to sell some of these items. I also like to buy certain items to replace items that may have broken like lawn mowers or rakes and such.
I also do a Fall cleaning and get the house ready for the Winter months. I pack up and cover all the deck furniture, clean the windows again before they get too cold to do so. Empty the closets to see what may be hiding in there. Many times the clothes get traded out or just packed away and the Winter coats, thermal clothing, mittens, gloves and scarves come out for a washing. I will also take a look at my holiday decorations and see what I may not need or did not use last year.
I am also going into the attic to see what is up there. Is there anything we don't need anymore? Then maybe this weekend I will go to the flea market and sell those items we do not need. It's like an extra payday sometimes, especially if my husband cleans out his shed.

Thanks a ton for posting this discussion. Glad to hear that people are so much looking forward to welcome new things when its Spring and that brings a lot of excitement in the people to try out something innovative. It is always fun to clean one's house or garage ahead of some occasion or season as there is always a trepidation to welcome a new season or an occasion. The very thought simply thrills your mind.
What say?

I like to clean by the season like that. You find things you have forgotten about and that make cleaning a little more fun. It also helps you get rid of somethings you have not used in a long time. I usually take those items to the flea market to sell them. Many of the clothes go to donations to the local church or to the Salvation Army we have here. They help the homeless and the people who do not have enough money to buy these things for themselves or their kids. Gives me a good feeling to help people too.
