I decided to go home yesterday after lunch because it was a local holiday in the province where I work. I was surprised when I found my husband at home so I asked him why he did not go to work. He told me it is a provincial holiday. Oh! okay, I forgot, we are on the same province, just a different municipality. I was more surprised when he bought a special bihon (fine noodles) for our afternoon snack, some bread, coke and other grocery items. Much more to my surprise, he told me that he already paid the one-sack rice we ordered, the electric bill, cable bill. He also said that he will already pay the balance for the motorcycle we bought through installment. So I asked him, “You’re very rich today? He also asked me to go to Jollibee and bought chicken bucket. He told me later on that he won again the Small Town Lottery in the amount of Php 34,000.00 ($850).
Then he told me how he got the winning combination by simple mathematical equation. He always did this thing and he already won several times. Although there are times that he was not able to put money on because he already ran out of fund. I don’t know if it is really through mathematical equation or just plain lucky.
Well, anyway, whether he just plain lucky or through his mathematical ability, I am glad that he was able to win and we solve some of our problems because of the money he got from there.
How about you my friends, have you ever won in lotteries or any game of chance? Have a nice day!

That's really funny. Unfortunately, I am not that good in Math. Can you ask your husband what equation did he use? HAHAHA! Kidding aside. I bet it could have been several lucks in a row. I am not into lottery but whenever I accidentally check winning combinations in the newspaper I usually see my birth date and & my family's as well. Really feels weird though.

Hi mhypie! He is trying to teach me the way but I could not get it. I can do math but what he applies is not a formal one. He is just following some pattern. Well, we should also try our luck from time to time.
Thank you for sharing!

Hi mhypie. I don't think it requires that someone is very good in numbers. You have to try it too.
Thank you for giving an importance to this topic.

I buy lottery tickets each week, although it is basically for amusement and I do not realistically think that I am likely to become rich that way. I have had a few small wins, my biggest to date being £250, but over the period that the lottery has been running I have certainly spent more on tickets than I have won.

Hi hanSquall! Perhaps he is just lucky. There is no secret to it. Just making some pattern as to what combination will came out next.
Thank you for giving an interest on this topic.

HE probably a lucky guy winning that amount of money.I am not too lucky in lottery or any game of chance.I usually won consolation prizes even in raffles.I think it is quite hard to calculate so he must really good in that matter.

Hi ardoy! Yes perhaps part of the winning is that he is lucky. But the main fact that he can get the pattern, there is also a possibility that the one in charge is also making such pattern combination in order to avoid duplication of combination as compare if they will just rely on the chances.

My husband made a table of what numbers came out in a particular date, as to draw in the morning, afternoon and evening. So since it is just a two-number combination, he would only follow some pattern and sometimes, he would split, combine or interchange the numbers. There is no really specific pattern. I could not follow it myself. But with his explanation, I am convince that it can be some informal mathematical equation. I guess he is also lucky on this one.
You should try it also and you're right how would you know that you are lucky if you are not playing the game. Good luck!

Hey, share the knowledge! I'm an Accountant maybe we can all team up and formulate the winning combination for the 5/55 or something super lotto! I think it's a combination of both math and luck. Your husband is just on the right place and time when he betted on his numbers. Congrats you guys!

Hi Raine! I don't think it requires a special mathematical skill. He is just making some analysis on the probability that a pair of number will go out.
Thank you for sharing!

Sadly there is definitely no way to calculate the winning combination because it is totally random. It is possible to calculate the odds, but since the same criterion exists each week then the odds remain the same and whatever type of system you apply is not going to make any difference.
Of course people do win on lotteries, so using a method of calculation will not reduce your odds and it is still possible to win, although the two factors are not related in any way.
