Before the year ends, we will attend two weddings.
Both from my future in-laws.
And as I list down gifts that I will be buying for Christmas, I find it hard to think of a gift for their wedding.
Can you suggest gifts for me? I really have no idea.
Thanks in advance!

i've always wanted to give gifts with my personal touch. so the last time i attended a wedding and thinking that as expected, people will give them the most usual gifts, such as kitchen utensils, beddings, or any other housewares, i decided to print out edited pix of them with a marriage prayer written on it then framed it. and that's it. maybe you can try it also.

Hmmm, I will list that down.
That sounds a good gift.
Thank you very much.
Is the picture just edited or hand painted?
Hand painted pictures here are so expensive.
I wanted to give something like that to my mom before but it costs 2000pesos for a small frame that is hand painted.

i just edited it myself since i know a bit of photo editing. actually i was the one who made the design for their tarpaulin. so i just made a bit changes from that design as well and printed it using photopaper at an internet cafe and bought a photoframe.. it only cost me about a hundred plus (pesos) :) actually, i was planning to buy a photo album by that time cause i had not enough time to prepare since i was having my review for the exam and at the same time i was the one who took their prenup pix and helped out for their invitation cards and also prepared for the music/sound sytem. i only had one day to prepare myself and my gift for the wedding and when i went to a dept store to buy photo album, i got stunned by the prices (hahaha...never ever knew or even had an idea it would cost that much). i was out of budget since i was only depending with the allowance given to me by my uncle(i was not employed yet that time) and not sure will he be able to send money again so i decided to edit the picture myself then bought a not so expensive frame but that was elegant to look (lucky for me that i found that photo frame ).

addendum: and i believe i really made a very great idea by that time. i saved the cost and i can see that my friend really appreacited that gift of mine since that was the most unique gift then :) i made the difference :)

hi adnileb,
I saw at the mall a big personalized pillow written the Bride,The Groom I think it's cute or a pair of towel and rob for them and you can put their names.
IF they have a wedding registry that will be more easier for you to find a gift for them
happy mylotting

Hello adnileb, I don't know maybe i can't suggest any gifts to the bride and groom. am sure others will give some very expensive stuff on their wedding. you can give some appliance like rice cooker or some microwave, that would be good for their use in every day cooking. in my view, you can't determine their interest just go with the usual that gives them, start with knowing what basic things they haven't had yet.

traditionally, people would give appliances and/or household items that the newlyweds could use in their new home.
but personally, i don't exactly know what. as appliances are expensive, and cash seems inappropriate if you consider the thought.
maybe something unique will do. something that maybe good for both husband and wife.

I think money will be a great choice, because money is raw and can be more flexible for them to buy something. But if you want to buy a gifts other than money, I suggest to buy them ipad or technology stuffs..

I think ipad isn't useful for a couple. Money is good but if in case I will give them money, it's so shameful to give them a few hundreds. Because I can give them a gift that costs a few hundreds and still worth keeping.
It's so hard to think.
THanks for the idea, rahma.
Have a nice day ahead!

I think bed sheets and other household stuffs are good but they might be receiving those over and over again from other relatives. I want it personalized or something unique but just can't really think of the better one. I already have one in mind, the one suggested by other member here. But I have to take note other options too.

ztuberi is right also. those are useful for them. i can also make it personalized by having it printed your own design. there are many services now offering such and i think it would cost less than a thousand only.

Thanks for sharing
Well since they are so special people, you can ask your bf about the choice, what they really like..
If i were there i would give cash; or go with them to mall and buy lol

Oh, even my bf has no idea what to buy.
I can buy stauffs of cheaper price and some will look as if they are expensive. BUT I can't give them a small amount of money. Haha!
Going with them in the mall is not a good option, they might like those expensive stuffs.
So, I will go with my bf and look for good stuffs.
Thanks!

hi, Adnileb! I think in buying a gift you should take in consideration what is most likely that they will need. Something that they would really use and not be left for display only.

Purchase according to your budget. Some wall pieces or crockery set etc. Final choice may be from a gifts shop.

Crockpot or pressure cooker. Not many people use crockpot or pressure cooker. They are missing a great machine. I love them. So easy to make a good food. Pressure cooker makes everything fast! I can throw frozen meat, dry pasta, with tomato sauce, in 15 minutes they are done! Meat are so tender and soaking with spices within 15 minutes. Most people give kitchen utensil like blenders, different kinds of plates, kitchen tools, but rarely pressure cooker/crockpot. You can buy the book to come with it.
