I run a private daycare out of my home. I have an 18 mo. old, and 5 three year olds. I need some new, simple, age appropriate craft ideas. We do a lot of coloring, painting, fingerpaint, cutting, gluing, sidewalk chalk. We also do preschool workbooks. Whenever a holiday comes around, I have the kids make things that they can give their parents. The parents really appreciate it. Any suggestions for simple crafts, that are not too time consuming?? Toddlers don't have long attention spans!

There are lots of things that you could do which would keep them occupied. One thing that you could do would be to get them to take their shoes off and then use their feet to make paintings. Another good idea is making a stamp out of a potato and cutting different shapes out of it and then allowing the children to be creative with these. One of the good things is that parents are often happy with what their children bring home no matter what it looks like, so it is more important to do something that they are going to find fun more than anything.
