Is this world selfish

my-lot friends here i would like to bring in front of you, a topic that i am unable to solve. i request your post on this.
i am a hotelier by profession and as such on a daily basis i see people, i interact with them and share my ideas, but i am still unable to conclude whether people in this world are born selfish or they become selfish after they come in contact with others. I see a man treated with respect till he is able for financially support his family, as his support falls weak, his value automatically falls. people only do things in the interest of getting something back. I know i sound pessimistic, but its the bitter truth of life, we live. A earning son of a family always gets special attention. Is it something we as individual should work on. your comments.

This is life for you. World is as good as think it is. You have to be some thing to be considered some thing. As you know there is nothing bigger than money in this world, more so in this present day world. Gone are the days when people used to consider virtues of some one on the basis of his qualities.I know I am sounding a bit different but that's hard facts of the life.

yes i do agree to you. Gone are those sweet days when people use to think about each other, but one has to admit that life was far more better in earlier times than what ti is now

The world has enough to give, but not enough for the greedy people.

I do agree, I myself can't deny that I'm being selfish sometimes. Sometimes I just think of myself and not other people. We have different reasons why we are being selfish but the main point is we being far from God when we are just thinking of ourselves. Maybe when we are selfless instead of selfish the world would be better.
