I have been told that you can lose weight with PCOS. The hard thing about it is is that with having PCOS it makes you gain weight and makes it hard to lose weight. I have had a doctor suggest changing my diet to a heart healthy diet and walking 30 minutes a day for 5 days. That was probably just for me maybe with me having tachycardia as well, but any website I have been to about it says to do a heart healthy diet cause PCOS can lead to heart disease as well as diabetes. My doctor recently put me on a medication that he said should help my hormones and possibly help me lose weight. especially with it being a medicine that is also used to treat people for diabetes. But I was not given it for that since I am not diabetic.

It is certainly possible to lose weight when you have PCOS. The simple fact is, with PCOS or without PCOS, if you burn more calories than you consume then you're going to lose weight. You should try eating slightly less and doing a little more exercise and see what kind of an effect that has on your weight. If you find that it doesn't make you lose weight then you need to either exercise more or eat less again. Eventually you will find a good balance which means that you would be able to lose the weight that you desire to.
