promoted everyday....

I know someone who just got hired by this new web development company and, unbelievably she's been promoted almost like everyday. This friend of mine, due to circumstances that led to early pregnancy and quitting school only finished high school. However, she was a voracious reader and has the IQ of a computer geek. She understands everything about web design and web development and she knows English very well. Well in that office where she is recently hired are IT graduates, college graduates who, according to the overall manager, do not know how to speak English. Well, there comes her advantage plus her knowledge of computer which made the company promote her to top positions in a matter of three days! If you were the person in charge of hiring, would you look at the applicant's academic credentials before hiring them? We all know of many college graduates who do not know anything. Do you think someone who has not finished college deserves to be given a high position? Fire away.

To those who invested their money to get a degree in IT, it might sound unfair. But if you look at the qualification based on the performance and not the documents, your friend really deserved to be promoted. She's better than the other employees and it was pretty obvious.

Yes, I am sure that the others are now raising their eyebrows along with their blood pressure. LOL

Its all luck I should say that plays the cards sometimes...having taken it from one of my collegues I wore a skinny cloth and slashed my cleavage along with my open stomach before I requested for my upgradation and it worked...had it been another guy it may have not worked...

Really. Well, I agree with you that luck does play an important part here.
