I've noticed that a lot of people prefer to read a book on their computer or tablet. I promote reading. I love reading and I recomand this hobby to everybody. The reading develops vocabulary and imagination while the computer games, tv shows never can do this. I have realized a lot of reports and essays and I tried to find some smat information on the internet. I can't find anything. I I did not thank with a stupid essay. I have a procedure which I follow everytime and I think that is generally valid. Why the most of the kids prefer to copy paste a report but not to make a research to a subjet that could make their knowledge bigger? Then, why the real books are trashed and replaced with a document which has no charm ?

Of course,no people will deny that reading is a great hobby. You will gain more knowledge and thus will be smarter. However when it comes to the carrier of the book, people have various. Many people prefer reading e-books. They get used to read books on their tablet or cell phone. There is a good thing reading the e-books, that is they actually save a lot of papers thus woods. While reading a e-book is harmful to their eyes. So e-book is really a double-edge sward. Some others prefer reading traditional paper books, for example, me. Compared with reading a e-book, reading a traditional book is good for your eyes. You can take notes very conveniently. While the bad thing you can imagine is that most of the traditional book are made of wood/trees. It is no good to the environment. By the way, save some paper... All in all, whatever you choices are, you gain some benefits.

I also agree with what you are saying. I have tried to read an ebook few days ago. It's only a 23 page ebook. But after reading it, my eyes are so tired. But every time I read an actual book, even if I spend two to thre straight hours reading, my eyes are still okay. And I enjoy more in reading actual books than reading ebooks

I have an eReader at the moment and I have to say that it is one of the best things that I have ever bought. It means that the books are a little cheaper than they would be if you bought them from the shop, so by the time that you have had it for a year or so you have more than made your money back on the amount that you had to pay for the thing in the first place. It also holds thousands of books and this means that there is a lot of space saved on our shelves which we are now able to use for other things instead of the books.

i too like reading. and i agree with the benefits you mentioned. i also agree with your observation about kids copy-pasting their school work. well, most of them i guess. this is because they are just into acceptance. having something to complete a requirement is all they have in mind. that work is just taken for granted. i say some of my professors are wise. even in the age of computer typing, they still require us to pass a paper or report in our own handwriting. i used to hate it, but now i understand. and i'm thankful for it. by handwriting that report, some of those are retained in your mind. whereas if it was computer-written, you could just copy it then paste without even reviewing it.

Hi friend, good to know you love reading and promoting it using various ways. Now a days modern kids are very much attached with other things, so they are not interested with reading and writing. They are lazy enough to make the research and submit their project without reading or knowing the real meaning, this kind of work never have any meaning. This kind of persons must change their activities and attitude

You shouldn't force a child to read. as a kid I absoutley hated reading!! but it wasn't until my teen years I was recommended to read a ray bradbury book by the my mother and I loved. have been reading ever since I just think the problem was for me none of the books interested me. as a child I would get annoyed by adult authors which talked down to little kids like they had cinder block dropped on their head. but it's sad how stupid people are getting people consider myself smart and I'm not just average. I tried getting an old boyfriend of mine to start reading books instead of manga and comic books. his excuse "oh I can't visualize what they look like" and I'm like that's what mist books have descriptions. but I wish more young people would read real books instead of the twilight. when I went to bookstore recently all their was twilight reject material what happened to real stories about real people?!

of course I love reading real books because it does no harm to my eyes. But at present,I have to read a book on my computer because I'm only a student that cannot afford many real books.Real books are expensive and they waste paper. My demand for books is very big and I only care about the content, not whether it's a real book.So it's more realistic for me to read ebooks.
