Do you use a software to download a large file or application?

When I am downloading software or application from the internet especially having a large size, I use a software such as Download Accelerator Plus to make it download faster and to have the ability to pause and resume the download. The tendency of not using a software is once you lost your internet connection, your download will stop and not be recovered and your download will be back to start, like for example you have already downloaded 90% of the software, you will be back to zero. So it is advisable and recommended to use a third party software like Download Accelerator Plus and that's what I always do when I'm downloading a file or application. How about you, do you also use a software, what do you use? Kindly share. Happy myLotting!

Use IDM(Internet Download Manager) it's the best download manager according to me and far better than DAP.IDM also support resume capability, means if your download is completed 90% & suddenly you lost your internet connection no problem you can download the file from where you left. It's best...

Thank you for recommending a software. I would also try that software since you have testified that it's far better. Good day!

No, I have never used any form of downloading software to support downloading. I prefer to simply download a file the usual way.
I know that you are right in that if you drop the connection then it would require restarting the download from the beginning, but this does not really worry me. I do sometimes download reasonably large files, such as the latest release of Ubuntu which was around 600 Mb, but I very rarely experience any connection problems.

Good for you. If you have fast internet connection and doesn't encounter a power failure or lost of connection, then there's really no reason to use a third party software. Thank you for your response.

No, I don't used any downloader because I felt that they also infected my pc with viruses.
I used downloader before but I experience more trouble with my pc due to viruses. Now, it's not easy to used downloader since my connection is enough to download large amount of files.

I'm sorry to know that your PC has been infected by virus. Yes, we should always be careful in downloading files because some of them has really a virus. It's nice that you have a good internet connection there, and you have no problem in downloading large files. Thank you for your response.

There used to be a software called 'download manager' which allowed the resume option but did not accelerate the speed. Yours seems a useful software. I shall go to cnet and see if I can acquire that software. Thanks for reporting about this.

Yes, actually there's a lot of softwares you can choose from. You can also try those ones suggested by the other responders. But for me, I am not having a problem with Download Accelerator Plus so far and I'm satisfied with it. Thank you for your response.

Hi! I also download torrent files sometimes and also using a torrent downloader software. But we just need to be careful because some torrent has a virus attachment. But it's really feel rewarding once we successfully download a large file and it's running. Thank you for your response.
