What do you do if your new topic doesn't fall in the list of your interests?

In creating a new discussion, you have the opportunity to choose which interest your topic will gonna fall under or you can just opt to fall your topic under general discussion. Would you just choose an interest that your topic is nearest related or you would just manage your interests and search and add a particular interest which more appropriate for your topic? What has been your practice? In my case, what I do most of the time, is I just pick the interest that is nearest related to my topic. Like for example, if I make a topic about singing, I would just choose the interest music if singing is not available. How about you, what do you do if your new topic doesn't fall in the list of your interests? Kindly share. Happy myLotting!

So you would stick to those interests in your list. Thanks for the response.

I always stick to only adding a discussion to an interest that it truly belongs to. If I create a discussion that does not fall directly into an interest category then I will make do with adding it as a general discussion.
I see little point in selecting a close comparison because it may not be of particular interest to most members with the similar interest.

I see. So that was your practice. You would rather make it fall under general discussion than to interest that is closely related to it. It's good to know. Thanks for sharing.

When I come here to Mylot, I like to comment on all the discussions, as I can there are so many discussion to comment on in here, I don't worry about what interest my discussion ends up in, as long as some one comment on it, that all that matters to me.
