See, I Stopped Skipping Meal but Now I am Gaining More Weight! Tsk!

Ok, so i mentioned in my previous discussion that i was starting to skip meal in between of dinner and working time. I was a band singer and i don't like to eat before i sing and i am also lazy to go to get some food for dinner. So i just come to public computer during my break time and do my online thing. Anyway, i think it is more than a month since i posted that discussions, i got some comments that i should think about my health because i am already feeling some head ache and never skip meal, so i followed and didn't skipped meal at all... The problem is, i gained more than 2 kilos in one month and i was already over weight before. Now i am regretting again, i am planning to reduce again....huh... Have you also been in this situation?

No, don't go back to skipping meals. Skipping meals is the worst for loosing weight. You gain your weight back faster. When you skip meals, your body in the state of hunger, it is actually preserving the fat. Metabolism shut down. So no skip meals. Eat frequently, but has to be smaller portion: 3 times + 2 snack times. You will not gain weight if you eat the right thing. Balanced diet, protein, fiber, carb. Fruits and vegetables will not make you gain fat. If you eat frequent, but sugary, chips, junk snacks, then yes you are going to gain weight. So eat healthy, drink a lot of water. Choose your snack wisely, watch out the portion. Look at labels, contents before you eat it. Things that you need to look from the food label: fat, calorie, sugar, sodium. Those are the watch out list. Hope this helps!

Drinking a lot of water is something that I've been doing over the last few days and it has help my circulation and not to mention that i have kinda lost a few months but not that much. but yes drinking water has helped me a lot too in regulating my digestion. besides, i tend to dehydrate in this sunny days.

Great, Thank You Guys for taking time responding on my discussion. I have done it, eating little by little now on time, it seems to work out for me and i go to ladies room frequently, not bad good metabolism and i liked it. I hope i could loose good amount of weight if i will eat on right time and small portion only. I am also a big drinker of water so i guess there will be no problem for me o consuming amount of fluid to burn some calories:) Thank You and Happy mylotting

I never skip meals because I love eating. It's one of my favorite things to do. I'm never too lazy to eat. I think your problem is not because you ate more often. It's because you are not eating the right kind of food. I've read about celebrity diets like Nicole Richie (correct spelling?) in which she ate more protein and exercised more. So she's not getting fat but getting leaner because she's growing muscles. If you are not into exercises you should eat more fruits and vegetables, they are healthy, good for your skin and your stomach is filled but it can not make you over weight. Lessen the carbs, don't remove them from your diet. And eat on time, like before 6pm for dinner and sleep early.

Same Here, i also love to eat a lot ahahah, but not many times, once but a lot. I guess you are correct that i don't have a plan on the right food that we eat. I will try to eat fruits now and a lot, i hope i will get better because recently i don't like fruits much...but i will eat again...Thank you for the suggestion. I also don't eat on right time that is why i also don't sleep early...oh i have so many violation to my self. This is the reason why i am overweight.:(

hey girl,i am also trying to lose my weight now. and just a few days ago, i ate apples only in a day. but when the day was over, i was almost faint. skipping meals is what i have done too. but it's hard to control your food desire. i think drinking more water before your meal may do help to lose weight, it helps you to eat less than usual. and do more excises is a good way to lose weight and keep fit. you can do it .

Oh yes, that is a good idea to drink water more before eating so i will feel full before i really eat. Brilliant! What i was always doing is drinking in the middle or after eating my meal so i too already i big quantity of calories before i knew it.:( Oh i hope i have much time to get fit and exercise.

hello friend, Eat ,don't skip, but eat in small quantities, that's what is preferable. Then take lots of water and also fruits.

Yes, eating in small quantities is a good idea. Besides that, eating lots of fruits and drinking plenty of plain water is a must. That's what i am practising now, in order to reduce my weight.

Thank You Prashu And Myfb for the response, i will do eat more fruits now. Recently this year, i stopped eating fruits i don't know why i lost my interest on eating fruits unlike when i was younger i eat a lot of mangoes, apple and other more... But now i don't now what happened to me it seems that i became very lazy to take good care of my self...

"Have you also been in this situation?" No, I have not! But if you eat 5-6 smaller meals a day, same amount of food, you will lose weight. There are foods that boost your metabolism. The theory here is that if you eat more often, of these foods, your metabolism is boosted more frequently, thus burning more calories.

Metabolism? i have a better work of my system now, in fact nature is always calling me to reduce waist materials from my body, lol. Great comment, nice theory and i believe in that dear. Thank You for the great response.:)

I think it is not good to skip meals and to eat regularly. Eat a health diet and do some exercise like walking. Avoid snacks and bakery food. Try to eat more green vegetables and fruits and this will help to reduce weight.

Gracia, i always think that by skipping our meals is not a good solution to reduce our weight. I always prefer to drink more plain water and eating less fat and calories food. I think by steadily reducing our weight is much healthier. Why not you go shopping for some healthy snacks which you can bring along with you to your working place. You can always eat them right after you had finished your singing. Hope my suggestion can helps you...

Thank You myfb... i love shoopping, but don't buy goods for my self. I always shop some things we need for our daily consumption or baby stuffs... I thought of just buying a full meal rather than picking some small snacks... I didn't think about taking snack... I only eat every meal no snacks...hehehe but i will also try to get some small food for me to feed my self whenever i will feel hungry, thank you for the suggestion:)

Hello gracia, It's always not easy to skip meals. but i think skipping meals won't do any good specially at the times were you need food to think a lot.you can lessen the number of food that you eat little by little. And don't forget to drink water most of the time because it keeps you regulated and the digestion would be good.

I think your weight gain has something to do with less daily activity. It means that you are consuming more calories that you are able to take it off. So maybe trying just to lessen the food intake, and not skipping a meal can make you go back to you usual weight. And of course, do some exercise.

Oh, this is my main problem you know. When i get home i feel tired and i don't get enough time to do some exercise because i am already exhausted so i just try to relax, lay down on my bed and work online rather than doing some physical thing. I have also a daughter to look for when i am at home since i am a single mother. So instead of becoming healthy and slim by exercising i choose to take rest. hmmmm I hope i could do it and let my body be in shape again... It's really hard...:(

What I read before is that, if one tries to slim down by skipping meals for some time. When this person wants to eat normal again in the future, he or she would gain weight easier than once used to be. That is because our body would change the amount of digestive acid according to the amount of food we take in everyday. So it is possible that your body produce less acid and less able to digest food now. Anyway, you should continue to eat normally while try to increase doing exercises to help you slim down.

Dont skip meal. But just manage to burn more energy than you consume. Just drink enough water. Take some fruits everyday. Avoid junk food. Have enough labor or exercise. Everything will be ok.

I don't like junk food dear, it was not my priority to eat some junkies hehehe. I only got lazy to eat that's why i skipped meal, but my problem when i start to eat i don't stop ahahha... I eat a lot as long as i don't feel full of stomach that is the reason why i became more over weight now... this is really, annoying... Exercise was not my priority also so i am just storing fats all the way...:P

Sometimes that because of what you are eating, not the amount you are taking in. Drink more water and walk some might help. Have a super dupper week there.

Yeah, you are right. What ever the food that is more in carbohydrates that is the food i often like...ahhaha. I love to eat pork and rice... and don't eat much fruits so i guess that is the reason why i am very heavy and not on shape.:( Thank You for your response:

lots of people don't want to gain weight,well skipping meal is not an option..try to have an simple and easy diet..like morning a piece of toss with egg or ect,lunch a few salad or fruits and dinner a cup of rice with chicken ect what you want to eat.after six is the best way too.and have an exersize from now on that makes you more sexy! enjoy
