Don't let yourself be saddened about this. But give this a courage to yourself to hold on and pursue your Christmas even he's far away from you. You could chat on him or call his phone anytime you want. There are a lot of gadget to stay close to the love ones who are far away from us. Meanwhile, just spend your Christmas with your family and friends. You should be happy because you still have them. ;) Treasure the moment and be happy. Cheer up girl.

I am sorry that you loved one is not near you. I remember in 2004 I was away from Randy and I was on the phone with him constantly. I was able to spend Christmas with my parents which was good, but I did miss my Randy. We celebrated Christmas and New Years a few days later.

I can relate. My husband will not be with me this Christmas as well because of his work. He does get RnR next month, but he is US-bound and not in here in our home here. My chances of joining him isn't going to happen until January after new year so I am pretty bummed this coming holidays.
Of course instead of moping and showing to him that I am saddened by this, I make sure to show him my smiles and to greet him cheerfully each time we FaceTime. I know that he's working hard for our future and it is as much difficult for him as it is for me. And the last thing I want is to burden him more by showing him that I am sad.
