Guys, have you experienced this before of being bombarded by a blank text coming from your textmates?
I have...and it actually wakes me up...it was like someone was calling me...I could not stop it...my textmate keep on sending blank text....according to him when I called him, I did the same thing a couple of hours ago...and to my dismay, it was actually true because it was in my sent items that I have been texting blank messages to him in a couple of minutes!
I was so shocked! How can I do it when in fact, I was sleeping!

Well what brand is your phone? Because, way back in high school there was a virus that can infect nokia phones particularly the ones running series 60 symbian OS. Some of the virus would just randomly send itself to random people via bluetooth or worst via mms and send it to all your contacts. I am not sure but I think a bug or a virus could do the same since it will waste your load by sending unnecessary messages like blank messsages.

I've never had that happen, but I have had unwanted text messages from someone. It probably depends on your provider, but with sprint you can go online in your account and block certain numbers from texting you. I'm not sure what happened to your phone as to why you were texting someone. It sounds like your phone got infected with some type of virus-it could have happened from the person who sent you all those texts, or maybe it was from browsing the internet or downloading an app. You should probably take it in to the nearest store and have them check it out and make sure your phone is not infected. If it is, I would assume it could be accessing personal information if it is able to send out mass texts, and you'd want to get that fixed as soon as possible.

Hi friend, how is it possible? As you mentioned you are sleeping, then how you send the blank messages? may be you send it without your knowledge while sleeping? Did you had your cell in your hands while sleeping? surely this kind of blank messages will disturb us and give a lot of irritation

Almost as bad as me. i bought a new phone from walmart last week. Everyday I get 10-15 text messages with only numbers like 54678 as the call number. So I just delete them. Who knows what it is.

You must have a ghost in your house using your cell phone to send ghost messages LOL. I really dont know, maybe try shutting it off and turing it back on and if that doesnt work bring it to your local cell phone provider store and see if they can help you out, its the ohnly suggestioni have for you. Maybe turn your cell phone off at night so nothing happens with your cell phone and you dont get weird messages back.

Creeeeepy!
Actually I haven experienced this, but not both ways. My mom keeps on sending me blank text messages. Apparently, after calling me she forgot to lock the keypad of her phone and she just put it in her purse. It gets tossed and turned and it self-dialed, only it chose to message me instead.

yes this was before, i have also done and experience having a a lot of text message from a sender. they call this text a flood text. actually since there are numerous smart phones one can actually able to install an app that performs a flood or bomb text, there is also a scheduled text message. these text app can perform a hundreds text in a range of 1-2 seconds per text message and also you can schedule it according to the date and time you want to send the message.
If ever you are irritated to received so much message you can also install an app that can block the number that floods you.

Maybe because holloween is approaching and there is a ghost nearby your bed and he/she is the one who sent those text messages to your textmate? lol. Just kidding. :)
Maybe your phone is broken or maybe it's about network. I haven't experienced that yet. And I hope I won't. I think it really feels weird. If that happens to me, I will surely change my sim card. If I'm rich, even my phone, :)
