for all people connected in myLot to discuss and make responses.What else are you not understanding here.Make a topic and it is up to us all members here if we wanted your topic to discuss,if not then sorry you needed to make another topic.

I just understand that keeping yourself answer what are the topics in the website
are coming makes up your star reputation.I just wonder how I got a number 8,when I seldom make another topic to begin with.I just keep on responding to so many topics and my earnings were even raised more than I thought.

he is asking about mylot reputation -- also stars rating. that is what we have explained above. For example you have 8 stars and your reputation is 83. (take the cursor to the star--it will tell you the number).

Kindly read the FAQ's and when you have question in mind kindly read and visit the FAQ's section.
There is nothing wrong asking or posting your queries here- so I hope you will be able to understand what does "reputation" is all about

A few are lucky to have 100 as mylot reputation . you are also doing well. what do you think that helps people get a higher rating form others. In my view 100 is there for only one or two people here.

I have reached 100 before and I am on 99 for a long time.
Now I lost one point so I am now on 98- which I don't bother at all.
I am sure of one thing- somebody or maybe some mylotters who doesn't agree with my post/opinion rated me negative that makes my reputation down to 98.
It doesn't bother me, because I never rated anyone negative so if other mylotters rated me negative it won't affect my ratings that much.

that is really nice of you to boldly say that you have not rated anybody negative. great. I remember when my rating was also going down you, HWG, GSB,and many other friends really guided me properly.
you do not bother about mylot reputation--it is good. -- How many days was your reputation 100?

hi puiiuioandaniel you have been here long enough to make 60 points and have not ever r ead the FAQ's as the information is in there. because this question has been answered in the FAQ's you were supposed to have read before starting to post, this discussion will probablyu be d eleted. In the guidelines are the tos and do nots of making discussions. so you needd to read those too. the reputation in in percentage and has to do with you being rated for your posts plus minus or reported for insults. we,that includes you, are to rate each other posts as we read and respond to them. your reputation depends on how you are rated by f ellow mylotters. the read and blue stars will help earn you the m ost as your reputation is use in compiling your earnings in the alogrithm of Myhlot admins.
Diana will have given you the links to both the guidelines and the FAQ's so please do her the honor of reading them. thanks.

aunty -- mysdianait has told that there can be a member over 100 with no star also. i have not seen such a member. pl see the responses above.

welcome to mylot. when you get 100 in bracket you will get mylot reputation-- based on rating given by other members. minimum is 1 and maximum 10 star rating.
The star rating may go down when our discussions/responses are deleted.

The minimum is not 1 but is no star at all. Maybe youhave never seen a user with no star after 100?
If reputation goes down after deleltion, it is not due to the deleltion itself but to the fact that other users saw the reason for the deleltion and rated negatively.

Ravi please read that part that you have quoted again and you will see that you are confusing 'user activity rating' with 'user reputation'.
The part that you are quoting refers to the number in brackets (user activity rating) and not to the star (user repputation).
The star does not drop directly due to deletions.

Re. deletion --yes i agree. but i gave what is given in FAQ as under:

Why did my user rating go down?
You will see this quite often in myLot. This usually happens when a discussion, response, or comment that you started, replied to, or commented on has been deleted.
The best way to avoid this is to understand our guidelines and terms and not create or reply to discussions that are in violation. "
I know because one's response being not good is rated down by other members.

Mylot reputation is based + or - given by members. If you get more + then your mylot reputation will improve. I have seen members wherein with 100 in bracket they get a star rating of 8 or 9 also. some get only 2 or 3 also.
We must make quality responses and discussions and get more + to increase our mylot reputation. you can also give + or - for other members and it will affect the reputation of others.
