The Double Ninth Festival also named Chongyang Festival falls on september 9th chinese lunar calender, that is today ! In "Book Changes" the number "Nine" is classified as positive one. So the Ninth day of the ninth lunar month is called Chongyang Festival.
It's a troditonal holiday formed by a variety of folk cutomes. There are some activities to celebrate it, like going on a sightseeing, climbin the mountain, viewing chrysanthemum, inserting cornel, eating chongyang cake nd drinking chrysanthemum wine. The people have a special feeling about this vacation, due to in this period, it is the golden right time for harvest. So that plenty of chinese poems eulogize Chongyang.
In Kaifeng city Henan province, it holds chrysanthemum show every year started from 1983. Today there is a temple fair in our town, so I introduce this holiday to you to know more about chinese culture. And I plan to visit with my colleague after work. Have a nice day ! Alice

Today is October 22nd not September 9th! (although it may be the 9th day of the 9th month of your calendar).
