they are quite huge and red too..like a centimeter tall. They don't bite though, they are just very annoying, flying and crawling everywhere.. There were dozens of them yesterday.. quite scary. I don't even know how they got in.. they were looking for light or something..I hope they don't come back today.

When they come back, you should know what to do. My mom used to put a peeled onion on a plastic then put it inside the light bulb. they will go inside the plastic and die. yes they are too annoying. be careful. next time they.might fly inside your ears. that's so scary.

Yes, you are right that insects are useful. But with those quantity, I am sure you wouldn't want them roaming around your house too. It's really scary. I hate that situation and I really cover my ears when that happens. They sometimes fly to you and get stuck to your hair and roam around until they reach your ears. They love wandering in the dark.

this is so scary , really . if they go inside our ears ,i will create a lot of disturbance. Onion tip, i really don't know about this, will try and see next time. But i would like to know if there is any other option to avoid them. As such insects are useful to the environment . so why destroy them. Instead ,we can make a better plan.

they live very short for sure. if they do not fall prey for lizards and other creatures, may live for few more extra days.

Hi lady! I remember, my grandmother told me that when the ants get inside the house, it means that rainy season will be coming. Have a nice day!

My grandparents also used to tell me this. Usually they come and fly around light bulbs and they will put some water in a basin, put it near the light bulb and all the flying ants would be in the water.

ohh, may be this is true, that ants get inside our house when rains are about to start. But here i see ants in our house even during the hot sunny times. May be they want the cool place so they get inside the house. Or else , they may be gathering food form the house, for the rainy season. Okay, the ants get attracted to the lights during nights times, but why should we keep waster near them? They die, isn't? they come to out house for rescue, and we kill them Is there any other better option3so that the ants wont die and we too are not disturbed.?

Hmm.. They are called swarmer ants, usually it happens at night especially if there is a rain coming. Don't know why maybe they are just attracted to light especially in areas where light is limited at night.

Ants with wings. I think you mean wasps. I hope you didn't get bitten or something.

Aren't they termites that you saw? Anyway, those insects usually appear when it is about to rain. But just last summer, a colony of those insects were outside our house. It didn't rain, though. I think for two consecutive nights, they were bugging us. They are attracted to light and so we had to turn off all the lights including the television so that it would go away. One way of shoving them off is by hanging an onion to a light that is switched on. Then they would slowly go away.

usually this kind of insect an ants who fly or with wings come out when rainy season nearly approaching, they will fly to your lights and its really irritating especially when you are eating or even you are sleeping.so to get rid from it put a bowl with water in under the light.

Yeah, these ants are quite common for me. Just spray ant repellent, and kill those suckers when you see them. They are nasty and annoying. Mine tend to seem as if they are weak and dying....probably because of the ant bait I lay out around that time. They should leave and you should stop seeing them. :)
