You know I'm not good at gardening. Last time I grew cucumbers and got maybe 2 or 3. This time I thought ohh it will be great I'll grow a few things. So today I bought strawberries, red onions and peas to put in my garden. I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm just going to cross fingers and toes that they will grow when I plant them. Today and tomorrow is going to be nice warm weather and then it will rain a few days. I am feeling scared to plant them now
Does anyone have any tips or advice for me? I read not to plant my peas and onions together. I've done my soil so it should be ready. Not sure if I need to know anything else. Does someone want to come to my house and do it for me?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to know about your gardening interest and i hope u continue doing it in the coming days also. i think gardening is a great way of unwinding your time and i am happy that u are making good use of your time. i think u should plant more and more trees and plants so that they can get good amount of water during the monsoons and can grow well even if not then u can water them on a daily basis and do not use fertilizers at all.
What say?

Well I planted my strawberry plant today. You know we also have a lemon, fig, apricot and persimmon tree in our garden and we will also have tomatoes soon too. I am learning a little and got some help and advice today to help me out. We don't have monsoons here in Australia so I don't need to worry about that. I got some top soil, don't really have any fertilizer though but I think it will be OK
Thank you for responding and helping

wow ! I love gardening. but unfortunately we dont have much space available for that in such a big city. I come from a framer family and we grow wheat and maze. its good to know people love plants. all i do with the surroundings available is plant few useful trees around. like coconut. leamon and papaya. add good mnure to it, like dry cow dung, and water it regularly/ they are comming up really well

We live close to our city but it's still a house with a garden at least. We have a lemon, apricot, persimon and 2 fig trees as well. I still wish we had a bit of a bigger garden though to plant more things. I like the idea of growing your own but it's confusing at times to me at the beginning, once they really start to get going it's not an issue really. I am getting a good feeling about the strawberry plant, hope we get lots of them

I'm not the best at gardening BUT my grandmother has taught me how to garden. In my area it is now Fall and this isn't the best time to garden. Spring for me is. You should plant it but if it rains, I wouldn't bother to water it because that will over-water the plants. I get miracle grow to put on my plants and that's it. I would do it for you but.. I'm busy :)

It is Spring in Australia and the weather is improving a bit but I know more rain will come and the plants are small so I'm scared, it kind of feels like leaving a baby outside. Last time I put containers with holes at night to protect them from bugs and heavy rain. Oh and I definitely would water them if it did rain that's for sure, I'd kill them probably
Got the strawberry plant in it's pot so far though and put it in a good stop. I'll need some mesh to cover soon so the birds won't eat them
