Where do you get the topic you start in myLot?

It's just so amazing how people in myLot never run out of ideas or topics to talk about. I don't post or start a topic as often as the others because I just can't think of any. I usually write down in my special notebook the ideas or topics I thought of as I continue my day to day schedule. Sometimes I got it from other people's way of living and wonder how things happen. I also wonder what are the opinions of other people about a certain issue. What about you? Where do you get the topics? How do you formulate it? Do you expect that a lot of people would respond to it?

Hi, usually get my topics in my mind and from what I have read. I don't copy the content of it. I just get some idea and make my own discussion. But mostly, it's just my thought in my head. It suddenly popped up. But before I post, I see to it that none of mylotters here have the same post as mine. Similar, it's okay. But the same, I think it won't work out.

That's great. I also make sure that other mylotters haven't posted what I plan to post. I agree again that similar is okay. Carry on and share more.

My topics were mostly came from personal experience and curiosity. Sometimes a question came in to my mind, then I make it a topic to know what people can say about it. Or sometimes I just narrate what happened to me. I also express my feelings sometimes. For me, being able to post a topic is already an accomplishment, and much more thankful once I get responses. Good day!

Hi there. Just like many others in this community, I also don't start a topic as often as I should. Most of the time, I do begin a discussion when I would like to solicit answers for queries on my mind; or when I feel I should share an important event in my life. And after posting my discussions, I don't monitor or check it right away as to how many people replied to it. Whenever I have the extra time or I'm not busy, I log in to mylot and read my discussions or respond to other's discussions as well.

I generally start topics in the same way as I would if I were talking face to face with a friend. I write about what I am interested in. For example, television shows, or movies that friends and I enjoy and like to talk about might be things others here might also talk about. That's what the interests categories are for on MyLot. They are here so you can find things you are personally interested in and would talk about with your friends or family. Just pick something and start talking. Sometimes it gets responses and sometimes it doesn't. But keep trying. You will usually get at least one response if you are writing about things you really care about.

I dont start so many topics here and it's been so long since the last I started a new discussion. Whenever I started a discussion, it is related to my personal life stories or experiences. So when I posted it my main expectation is not to get a lot of responds, but to get a real conversation with other especially to get advice regarding to the problem I have. It doesn't matter much if I only get 1 or 2 responses, but it could make me feel so much better to share with other. Sometimes I have so many things on my mind but then I browse on mylot discussions first to check if there is similar topic already posted here so I participate on the discussion instead of starting my own discussion.

I don't start topic always. I only start a topic when I have something interesting in mind. Usually I start a topic about day to day life, or experience from the past that suddenly stuck my head.

The way you have found this topic to write about same way other members may be finding the new topics to write and share it with other members. And you know one feel exited when other members visit your post and leave their comment on it, rather they start the discussion on the topic we post here. Like you even me also post the topic for discussion only when I think it is suitable to write and get other members views on my post

hi!. i'm new in my lot, and i don't think i could give you tips on how to start new discussions coz we share the same concern. anyways, being new in my lot, i just want to share what interests me and maybe other people to put their comments too .. "things we can relate to". you know, it doesn't have to be new, hot, political, famous artists, etc. it could be something about your activities for the day that other people also did. maybe we could think of a topic we ourselves would like to put our comments to. that way, you won't have to worry about the number of people responding to it.thanks to this, now i'll start mine too .. :)
