Pass the red light this morning

I usually have to go to work early in the morning, and this morning I guess that I didn't fully woke up myself, When I came to the intersection, I only saw the green light which only indicates cars make left - turn can go; Then I simply go straight forward, which was still red light. When I noticed it, it was too late. Because it was still early in the morning, there was no police car around, otherwise I would imagine. But I still worry though, there is a traffic cam on the intersection. I don't know what to say, there was something I rarely done. Anyway, I have to pay full attention on the road.

I knew, on one of my previous discussion, I also mention saw someone pass the red light, because she thought it was a signal to make a straight go.

I can relate in this discussion since I was catched by a traffic police way back when I was younger. I was so aggressive back then, that I just ignore those lights, check if there are police around. But I learned my lesson, not to passs the red light for it is not only against the law but for safety reasons. Thanks

Hi friend, you honestly confess your fault. As you mentioned you did this without your knowledge as well as in the early morning while you are not properly wake up, so don't worry for this issue. Here after be careful while crossing the signal and give importance to the light and follow the traffic rules

Yes you should pay full attention on the road. Well depending on the laws, you could be spared if traffic was behind, but since it was early in the morning I doubt such traffic would exist. Just hope the traffic cam was broken, in the worst case you'll just have to explain this to the authorities.

Most definitely, you must pay attention while driving. You also need to be aware of others that may do the same thing and put you in danger. Driving defensively allows you to protect yourself from bad drivers. When you pay attention, you can be a better driver and defend yourself when someone endangers you while driving. Driving is always a lesson. Continue to learn and be careful.

I have done that once or twice.. I did not recieve a ticket in the mail.. I do not think that all the intersections have cameras...

It's a sad truth: you only break the law if you get caught (which will only happen in your case if someone complains). I blame the DMV--not because they CAUSED you and a few other lazy drivers to be lazy, but ... well, that, a little bit--mostly because they don't enforce enough respect for the license.
When people first get a driver's license, it's because they 'passed all the tests.' Do you have to pass any tests in order to renew your license?
If not, they should destroy the DMV.

Oh, you should not do it again. I think it's very dangerous. For instance, if a man is walking on the road due to red light for cars while you are going straight, there maybe something unwanted would happen. So you should pay your attention on your surroundings all the time when drive.

You are in violation of traffic rules.
Lucky for you there's no traffic enforcer to apprehend you
and better that no accident come your way.
Beware and avoid doing this again because you may not be so lucky the next time.
Remember that those traffic lights are there to avoid accident and disregarding traffic light may cost lives and limbs.

There are times,I see the traffic light turns red,women and the traffic police talk,when a motorbike through the red light;traffic police immediately drove off in his car,to inform his violation.But in the case of bright red light also,that women with the traffic police talk on the bike,walked,and regardless of the traffic police.

But when i took bus to work everyday in the morning,i saw some of the drivers ran the red light directly in order to pick -up more passengers.That was a deliberate action.I think this would only happened here.

I hope there weren't any cameras around! Everywhere is cameras now, it's for our protection but it's like big brother watching our every move. I went through a red light once and I was racked with guilt afterwards, it was an easy mistake as was yours, but I still went through a red. I had to drive back to make sure there wasn't any cameras. There wasn't fortunately. At least you won't make that mistake again.

Because there's a surveillance camera in there, they will definitely send you ticket for violating traffic rules 
Have heard of that kind of situation before? It is just in my imagination but I think that there is a purpose why they put a cam on the intersection. Anyways, hope this isn't the case so don't repeat them again. Surveillance cameras have been very useful nowadays. Every night, I would hear in the news that an incident happen and was caught on cam. I just hope the videos would be more clear so that we can really recognize the violators even if they are quite distant.

Oh! I guess you must be careful next time. If there's a surveillance camera then pretty sure they will contact you or send a letter. But the most important thing is that there's no serious accident happen.

I think you should think about your luck. The cam is the last problem. Zou can get a penaltz but nothing else more. You said that you didn't fully woke up yourself so I'm thinking first time at an accident. A car could hit you and I'm convince that you are conscious about that. So I'll hope that you fully wake up before you left your home
