I Love Dogs

Okay I love most animals but especially dogs (and cats--but this topic is about dogs.) Last year for Christmas my daughter and grandson surprised me with a little tan bundle of fur, a Shih Tsu they named Jonah. He was rescued from being put into a shelter where he would have been put down after a certain amount of time being unclaimed. Apparently his previous owner did not have time to take care of him. I don't know the full circumstances, only that the owner is a single farmer, and that this dog, not being a farm-type dog, was not getting the attention a house dog like a Shih Tsu deserves. So, he's mine now. This was a special gift my daughter got me, and Jonah, because the cost of adopting him alone was huge. Then she has paid for all his vet appointments and treatments and medications as he needed a lot done initially. The vet said last year that he guesses Jonah to be about 8 years old, so I am guessing he is about 9 years old now. It has taken awhile for Jonah to adjust to his new life with me but he seems to have settled in great and although he is not a lap dog like I had wanted, he is good company for me. Do you have a dog?
