How typhoons are named ofter?

It was in the new that the typhoon today was my name I laugh at it because for the first time the name of storm was same as my name. Is there anybody who knows how PAG-ASA think of names and why they named it? Is there some sort of name voting, like this name was drawn so it will be the name of the next typhoon?
Just thinking... ^_^

How nice that a typhoon was named like your name. I have experienced a lot of typhoons, but i guess my name will never be chosen as a typhoon's name. 
Maybe, they name it after their office mates. Recently, they also give male names, unlike before when it's always women's names.
Before, i used to think that they name it after a woman , because women changes minds as fast as they can , just like the typhoon, that can change direction too.
Just thinking too.

lol because now a days man also has their mood swings ^_^
they got easily irritated, and they also change their mind easily.
