Hi there. I saw a film the other day. There are some scenes happening like this:The son did wrong to his wife, and the wife resported to her mother-in-law.At first the mother-in-law accused her son very much, which sounded that she was helping her daughter-in-law.But then she said since her son had done this, she asked the daughter-in-law to just accept it. And all of this suggested that the mother didn't accuse her son really.Mylotters in actually life does the mother-in-law shield her son when he did wrong to his wife? Or can the daughter -in-law and the mother-in-law get into the relationship like that between Mother and her daughter?

I think that any parent always wants to stand up for their child even when they might have done something wrong. I know that my parents always stood up for me when I was in school even when I was in the wrong, and maybe they shouldn't have done, but I believe that this is just what parents do by instinct. I know that my partner's Mother always stands up for him when he does something wrong, and I don't think that this is fair because he will never learn the correct way to behave if this is the case, but that is just what Mothers do.

Hi, My mother-in-law is really a good lady. Yet, yesterday my husband went out to play and returned home very late. I was so irritated as it was a holiday and he did not mind to spend even that day with me. His mom was initially complaining that her son has not yet come. It will be late when we go to bed and so on. The moment I started supporting her point and complaining against him, she stopped speaking and suddenly started justifying him. This is a very simple scenario where a mother would not like her son to be blamed by 'others'. Yes, under such circumstance, we are considered as a stranger. But, its obvious!

I think most mother will shield her son when he did wrong to his wife, it's the nature of a mother. Though some appear to accuse their son, but from the bottom of their heart, they are still close to their own son and regard the daughter-in-law as an outsider. Daughter-in-law and daughter will not be the same for the mothers. Just my opinion, nice day!
