Tomorrow is a non-working holiday in our country. For an employee like me, this is a happy thought because not only we get a day off from work, it will also be a long weekend. I am thinking of either going to the mall, watching a movie, or just to stay home and relax. :) How about you myLotters, any suggestions on what to do? It is raining hard here and if the weather continue this way tomorrow, maybe it's also a good idea to be a couch potato all day, LoL!!

During holidays I have the privilege to either take that time off or still go to work and take it some other time. I've decided to go to work tomorrow and take a longer weekend next week. Thursday and Friday are both holidays so I plan to use the leave I'll get for reporting to work tomorrow and move it to Wednesday. That's a 5-day weekend! If you don't really have any plans tomorrow and it's still rainy, why not just stay at home and get some rest? I love staying at home sleeping all day during cold weather or what they refer to as bed weather.

Yeah enjoy it while you can. It's much much better to be at home during stormy weather than going to work braving floods, traffic and all.

Why don't you rent or buy some dvd's and popcorn and invite your love ones or family to have a movie with you in the house. I mean, it's not just a typical day for you. It's a time for you to relax. And yes. it's really raining in here. Tsk. I think it's not advisable to go out till the rain is gone.

I know tomorrow is Ied-ul-Adha in particularly Muslim countries. Is it the same there, or is it a different holiday which just happen to fall on the same day? It's not a holiday here, but I happen to know some Islamic schools here is having that holiday starting even no school from today. Well, at least you will have more time to myLot. I know that would be what I'll be doing if I have a long weekend myself...

Drink coffee, yes I'll definitely be doing that tomorrow. Maybe hot chocolate also, as long as the weather is like this, it would be relaxing to drink hot beverages. :) Thanks for the response!

If you live in the Philippines there's nothing much you can do due to a heavy rain fall. Hubby and I with in laws were planning to go somewhere today. But since the rain is pretty hard and the sky is pretty dark with clouds too, I now.. is being house arrest or rather room arrest co's here in my room mylotting. I really wish if would stop soon so that we can pursue our plans. Let's just all hope that the rain would stop and the typhoon would leave the Philippine area of responsibility the soonest possible so that we can all have a beautiful long weekend.

Hi, Where i stay we have today and tomorrow as holidays to celebrate the Muslim festival. Down here we usually visit friends, hangout and meet new people. Unfortunately it's raining over there but you can wait it out and enjoy the sun after.

I love having a holiday, because it is the only time that the whole of my family is able to get off school and work together and this is something that I think is absolutely fantastic. I like to try to make sure that we all have a sit down meal together which I will try to cook and make quite nicely for everybody. Another thing that I like doing is going out somewhere, perhaps for a walk. You don't have to spend a lot of money to be able to have a good time, the only thing that matters is that you're with your family during the holiday time.

I'm off tomorrow as well, though its because I don't have any lectures on a Friday. This Friday I will drive home so I can spend some time with my family who I haven't seen for a while. It isn't a special occasion in my country I try to keep in touch with my family and try the spend time with them when I can. What I do usually when I have a day off is to relax in front of a film and do some posting on my lot. That's what I did this afternoon when I only had a half day of lectures I find it a very relaxing way to spend the day.

That's such a nice way for you to spend your day off, to drive all the way to your family's home. I'm sure it will be worth the effort, for there's no better way to spend your free day than to bond with family. :) Thanks for the response!

I bet this would be such an amzing bonding time...

Hello again, arystine! :) Well, I guess it's up to you how to manage the time, since you are tired of the week, you can either rest first and do other things after lunch or whatever you like to do. After all, if you get tired, there's still a saturday which you can find rest time... Depends on what you plan to do. Happy long weekends! ^_^

Actually tomorrow, we have work. Since we have Saturday work, we moved the holiday instead to Saturday. But tomorrow, i will file a half day after lunch leave. I will be with my high school batchmate/dorm mate at her hotel room who arrived from the US. We need a lot of catching up to do , and is scheduled to have a private videoke session/party with our other high school batch mates. Saturday, it being our holiday, i will go with my batch mates for a tour in the city and its neighboring town. We have already hired a van to accommodate us during the tour. I am excited. I hope you will enjoy your holiday tomorrow.

Wow, simplyd, what a nice trip you may have. Good luck and God bless on your trip! Wonderful things happen when shared by reunited friends, right? Specially if you are very close to one another and you haven't seen each other for a long time. It's a lot of hang outs and fun adventures to be experienced... Oh, I love those times! :)

Yes, Annavi and today is that day. In fact, she already called me that she has arrived in their hometown and would rest for a while then proceed here in the mall, where i booked them for two rooms. She is my closest at our dorm, and we are batchmates in our high school alma mater, where it is exclusive for girls then. The other batchmates are also excited for tonight's private videoke fun at a Resto Bar and Grill , because i told them that she has an individual pasalubong for everyone.

Hello myLotters. It's no longer raining hard here in Manila. Too bad you have to postpone your trip to Manila. The weather is a lot better than yesterday. I don't know though if it will stay this way for the rest of the day. Enjoy your holiday! :)

No, I am far from Divi. I'm from Olongapo. But we go there from time to time to buy many things. When you buy lot of things there, you still can save a lot even though you traveled far. But we didn't make it today. It's raining hard yesterday and I thought it will still rain today but now, it isn't raining. We postponed our shopping day because of 'ofel'. Are you from Manila? Is it raining there?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to know about the holiday and i m sure u must be very much confused as to what should u indulge yourself to make the most out of this day. i think u have many options to do but since it is raining outside and would continue to be the same tomorrow, then i think u should get some good movies or u can tune into your favorite movie channel and watch it and at the same time cook your favorite dish and have it while watching. That would be real fun i say! What say?

If only the storm passes by quickly and won't be wreaking havoc by tomorrow, it would be fun to go out and drive around town. But if it's not going to happen, it will be a stay at home deal for all of us, I guess. I actually have an appointment at the manicurist but figuring its a weekend, every young woman might be there as well. Of course in between the lng weekend, the laundry must be done.

Hey arystine, I am glad you have the day off. I don't know if you like reading or not, if you do then reading would definitely kill a few hours of the day. It doesn't have to be books, I personally like reading tech blogs and news websites. And then again there is always the good old favorite, lay in bed and ice cream and play video games.

Hello, I am a bookworm since I was a child. A good read is also relaxing and fun to do on a holiday. I still prefer reading books and turning the pages than reading on the Internet. But there are a lot of great stuff to read also on the Internet. Thanks so much for the suggestion and the response. :)

i would love a day off of work like that. we would spend it with the family and play board games or go for a hike or a long walk. if it was raining, we would go to the library and get movies that we could watch for the day and make a nice supper to go with it. if i was by myself, i would either craft, read or spend a lot of time on pintrest or maybe watch some movies on the laptop.

Hi, though there is rain, there are lots of things you can do. Enjoy a movie with your family members. Having a get-together with friends. Or just having long sleep. Take advantage of the holiday to refresh yourself completely. So you can have more energy to go back to work. Wish you have a good time!

It is good that you will have a holiday tomorrow with some good rest at home. But we have to work till twenty-ninth this month. Then I will have a four-day holiday. I am looking forward to my holidays and by then I will not have to work that hard as usual. When I have a rest at home, I love to sit at my computer to do something I love to. It is relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy yourself, arytine.

Well, if I were you, I'd arrange a small get together at your house with a couple of your friends. There's nothing better than watching a movie or playing a board game on a pouring day where you just feel like staying indoors.

Good for you, you have the time to do whatever you like. Though I will be working tomorrow, I'm still excited about the pay that I will be receiving. This happens to me everytime a holiday is being declared. As if we are not humans, machine it is, but machines find time to rest also, right But this is life, we need to work to have food on the table. Restday will come after tomorrow because it will be a weekend and it's time for "sleeping" all day though

For three months that I have not seen a movie at the cinema,so if it is possible I will spend my time to go to the cinema with friends or families. By the way,do some sports is also an good idea.
