Adblocker for mozilafirefox...problems

I did got annoying banner ads at the bottom of my screen even in mozilafirefox browser and what I did I searched for add ons and ad blocker and from the list I installed adblockerplus which did worked initially but after some time I did get the ads and some of my ad sites which I want to allow also are frozen like trafficswarm I was not able to click the links.I am also not able to block the boring ads in the bottom..these ads do not come in all pages but in some sites..not always I want a good ad block which will ask before blocking a site and will only block those which I specify what will be the suggestions please post and help me...Thanks in advance.
